Solution to all having problems watching the Casts on Blip.TV

If your Getting BSOD go to youtube FIRST. Then Right Click the Video and then Settings and disable Hardware acceleration you should see a picture that resembles a Monitor click that button. Thats where the acceleration is. Then you will be able to watch all the new KOTB episodes. You can tell Blip changed there Codec because there is a new bar that pops up when its loading in fullscreen. Im sure ATI will have a fix or Flash will release 1. Also disabling the setting doesnt affect youtube viewing at all. The option just makes it so your GPU will scale depending on what you have. To Note I have a ATI 5870 and had the problem but did investigation.

I posted this in the KOTB thread also as people were talking about it this is the proper place for it so this is somewhat of a repost.

Also I found that what you need to do is un-install the 10.6 drivers then install the 10.7 you cant install the 10.7 over the 10.6 or it will still crash. This is the permanent solution and you can still enable hardware acceleration. Trust me I have a new laptop and I was like what the hell.

Jesus thank you. I was about to try a bunch of shit like reseating my gpu in the bus, reseat the ram. Already tried about 5 other random forum problems. ATI 5850 here.

Thanks so much for this... I thought my card was dieing but was relieved to find out I could still watch youtube videos. Now I can finally watch day9 again!

Thx muchly for the fix as well. Bought a new computer [with a 5870] specifically for SC2, and this was my first BSOD. Having had my previous comp for like 5 years and having never gotten a bsod, i was scared to death.
Suffice to say that after finding the issue last night at like..oh 2am, it was a reaaaaaaaallllly long day at work today.
Also with regard to op's comment on driver installation. My buddy has a 5970 and he was having all sorts of driver crashing issues, and ultimately it was because he was over-installing driver updates not uninstall->reinstall. Personally imma wait till the 10.7 drivers are beyond beta [at least for now], but my buddy got this fix from ATI directly.

I have ati 5870, installed 10.6 and then 10.7. No blue screen, though.
