Thats a strong setup. Well balanced as well.

I wouldn't upgrade the CPU until Haswell, which is next year.

Dont bother upgrading the RAM until the same time.

So i guess what I am saying is that while the 460 is by absolutely no means a weak card. If i wanted to treat myself now it would be to a new GPU. And a new GPU just so happens to be $500.

If you must sink the cash, I personally would sink that into CPU/mobo/RAM. Probably less than $400, more than $300. CPU is a good 4 years old, probably the part that's holding you back the most, at least in SC2.

You did not mention a monitor resolution, that would be helpful for subsequent posters. BF3 + big resolution + 460... dunno.

I'm looking to stay current with my computer build and was wondering what upgrades would be necessary now, or what would be the next logical upgrade.

I currently play Battlefield 3, Starcraft 2, and Star Wars the Old Republic.

I have about $400-$500 to mess around with.

I don't believe in SSD's but thats a fair assessment as well.

I guess it depends on how much money I would expect to have in one year.

This is what I'm currently using for a monitor, and usually run things at 1920x1080.
SAMSUNG B2230 Glossy Black 21.5" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 70000:1(1000:1)

Also, what would be an adequate SSD to incorporate with my build? (recommendations I mean)

It's an enthusiast socket. If you have to ask, you don't need it.

My computer is running out of space(thats what happens with a 80GB HDD)

So I'll be reconfiguring stuff so:

SSD(M4)(gonna be using it for booting OS and maya, 3ds max, and mudbox) and a 5900rpm drive for storage and non performance requiring programs,
or
an SSD and a 7200 drive (less storage),
or
a big 7200 rpm drive?

Depends on budget really. And level of patience.

Your three options are balanced that way.

SSD and 5900 RPM drives will require quite a bit of upkeep to make sure you are running all of your bread and butter programs from the SSD. Constantly being punished with slow loading programs with anything being forced to run on the 5900.

All 7200 RPM drives, you get to not give a fuck where anything runs from.

SSD and smaller 7200 is in the middle.

If you have the money for SSD+7200RPM, it's your best option for speed, especially if you'd be gaming off the HDD.

If you don't need more games than you could cram onto the SSD with system and other stuff, the slower HDD will be fine for media storage.

If you'd rather avoid paying out the nose for an SSD at all, get the big 7200.

I run SSD+Caviar black personally, because my SSD is only a 60GB, and I refuse to spend 8 years loading games off a green HDD.

Hey guys. I currently have this case:

http://apevia.com/ProductsInfo.asp?KEY=X-Cruiser2-BL

I sold the side panel to a friend because she has the same case and her side panel broke, and I want a new case anyway.

I currently have a P8P67 Asus mobo with an intel i7 2600 which is liquid cooled, a radeon 6850 graphics card, a 700w PSU, an SSD, regular HDD, and 2 optical drives.

I wouldn't mind some suggestions on a new case, I have a few ideas, but I'm looking for something that has some pretty lights (I love my LED's) but isn't overstated and super flashy.

I'm curious as to the position of the PSU in relation to the MOBO and the radiator for my liquid cooling unit. Assuming I stick with the same size tower, is it going to matter if the new case has a bottom mounted PSU instead of top mounted? It kind of looks to me like it would get in the way of the GPU or radiator, and I don't want to go spending money on something, then taking my whole comp apart only to find it doesn't all fit.

Thanks!
