Mostly I have a big head so the general headsets feel tight on me. sound quality is also very important to me with the microphone coming in 3rd since I dont really talk anymore. also durability is important because I run over my cord alot > > My price range is anywhere from 70-180$ can someone help point me in the right direction. I would recommend you the Steelseries Siberia V2 or the Steelseries 7H Both very comfortable and has a nice retractable mic in case you don't feel like talking.

I've had a few friends order them and they broke quickly. They're kinda flimsy. I have the Razer Megalodon. Someone at my work(NCIX) suggested it, and i'm 150% glad I got it. An amazing headset.

It is not meant for (hardcore) gaming but i can use it when i need voice chat etc. thank you in advance! How cheap? You can get pretty decent sennheiser headsets that are comfortable and not that expensive(they go on sale at my work frequently, and sell out fast)~

Also was trying out the Steelseries headsets at dreamhack, but didnt enjoy the fit on them. So guess it in the ends comes down to preference what you like on your head, but quality wise, the sennheiser absolutely rocks.

Do you have any other suggestions in this range of money? Roccat Kave has more then 1 speaker for each ear, i would avoid those, you only need 2 speakers one for each ear, the rest is manipulation of the source which would be a 6 channel or 8 channel into a proper stereo channel to emulate positional audio. Such as it would be with 6 or 8 speakers except this is a conversion into stereo. 'Surround sound' headsets I've used actually made me worse at telling apart footstep directions in CS... might just because I'm used to stereo. Whatever you do though, stay away from Razer headsets. http://www.overclock.net/sound-cards-computer-audio/368653-ocnhc-guide-gaming-headphones-headsets.html Has a great list. Depends on how their sound stage is set up, i've used a G35 which tends to make things sound further apart then a Corsair HS1 which uses the exact same technology to convert the signals. For most fps game you don't really need a surround headset as when you set the game audio to stereo or more likely headset the game already does positional audio in a stereo format. All a surround headset does is allow the signal to be a 6 channel or 8 channel vs just the 2 channel that most headsets are forced to used. So in a game with poor in game positional audio this is nice, else expensive headsets will generally fair just as well. Personally i just like using USB over an analog setup just becuase i don't get any arrant noise when i use my laptop. In other words gaming headsets may do better for viewing movies then playing games lol, Also positional audio is a learned expirence meaning if you've played a game like cs for 5 years you are used to how positional audio is done in that game so changing how you hear it can be strange is not just wrong in your ears.

On topic, I ordered a PC350, I'll tell you guys how it is after I get it. Apparently, according to reviews, it's a great gaming headset, but terrible for music. The PC360s fixes the music problem, according to my friend, but is a lot more expensive than the PC350s. You don't really need a high-end gaming headset, I just got the PC350s because they were so cheap.

I'll get them as soon as the black ones become available and report back. Early reports say "slightly small, strong bass, 'not too loud' aka a shitty onboard may be overburdened by them, excellent sound". I'll simply get them out of pure patriotism and report back then :-P
