Also I have another question about Dell PSU's. Would those things run a 5850+? I'm thinking it would be better to buy the PSU/GPU seperately. What sorts of PSU fit in those that could run at least a 5850? Thanks.

Here is a fairly decent article on the influence of the CPU on FPS. Also debunks some of those bullshit 24-30FPS caps.

@Star, In most cases Dell PSUs are 350-375w sometimes with the xps series they have ~450w PSUs. Either way most Dell PCs will need a new psu to run any decent graphics card. I would suggest the 600 or 750w psu from corsair. I have one of their 750s and it is excellent.

Palit has an interesting dual fan cooler. However, I bet it will blow all the hot air back into your case like most dual fan coolers and just raise your case ambient ;_; Also new i7 875k and i5 655k unlocked processors that you may want to check out. If you were considering an i7 870 (why you would is beyond me), wait for the i7 875k!

I just ordererd a new monitor (1920x1080). Does anyone knows which settings I can await with an AMD 6000+ (3,1ghz) and Radeon 4850 (512MB)? I guess somewhere around Medium. Thanks

See this is where I get confused. Most people say the Dell comps have anywhere from 350-450w psus, yet they have offerings of some power hungry cards in those same comps. How is that possible?
