By memory, If a unit can attack both air and ground it will use whichever attack deals more damage to it based on its hard counters. +6 air etc. | ||

Edit: It seems as to upgrade the colossus's attack is to upgrade air attack since it's a unit so high. Makes sense now. Fuck blizzard on top of there game. | ||

Like you see a blade at zealots and some pew pew boom boom splash thing with archons. its still a ground unit but just so tall that it can be hit by air to air fire Q_Q if i'm right, not sure tho. | ||

One interesting thing I thought of is considering Hydras do 6 more damage to air when compared to ground (source BR2), when attacking a colossus, which one will be used, will it be considered hydra -> ground or hydra -> air? | ||

Yes for static defense, but not for Thor (range 10) and most importantly, not for specialized AA fighters like Viking, Phoenix, Coruptor... | ||

The turret upgrade would be at least +2 range, since +1 would be quite underwhelming, so colossus won't outrange turrets. | ||
