Blizzard is not a friend of RTS at the moment... despite a weekend's worth of content. Thankfully the indy scene is alive and well, occupying space left open by the developer acting like an absentee parent with a new child on the way. StarCraft 2 has three epic S-tier events coming live in Q4 2026. London, England will host Tastosis and their RSL startup at a RedBull sponsored LAN centre on 21-22 November for the global finals of their circuit. The long-time ecosystem around Philadelphia is running their second event under the SC4ALL brand led by SCHistorian as he pivots from content to tournament organizer. They're invitational format has giants of the game comfirmed attending! And... at UrsaTV we're excited to host Stellar Fest 2 with PiG, Harstem, Lambo and Steadfast all returning as hosts for a second year in Ottawa, Canada for a late-December event. We're running a 2 day LAN qualifier and 3 day main stage event for the final 12 players providing a deep StarCraft II experience unseen from Blizzard or ESL in years. In my experience as a fan, bespoke events like any of the aforementioned 3... or the guaranteed legend that will be HomeStory Cup 30 in April 2027... are way more enjoyable as an RTS fan than having our game lost in the chaff that is Blizzcon and Dreamhack. | ||

The RT Boxer vs Tasteless Nal_Ra was so fucking good. IDK if they show up for less than that but I would get the sentiment if BW pros werent already playing in proleague, KCM, escore, sc uni and spon matches... Its not like theres only asl out there.. | ||
