Maru, TY and Classic all in one group, well that just screams nostalgia and entertainment doesn't it!

I don't know why but somehow TL has rounded 18:30 KST to 12:00 pm CEST instead of 11:30 am.
Group A has the champion and a semifinalist from last season, plus the 2nd best Protoss in Korea. Thanks for throwing by boy TY to the wolves, Afreeca (even though he beat Classic to qualify).

The real kick is that TY and Classic are the underdogs of the group.
Assuming everyone is at top form, this is a GSL Code S top 4 right here, but TY is just coming back and Classic's form is still a question mark.
Still, even with those questions being asked, I'd say it's still a MUCH stronger group than the other 3. Not quite group of death status, but definitely the strongest group this season.

i think you and i have a different definition of top form then because they are both tournament winners where as bunny is.... perennial runner up?

Classic is washed and Bunny is overrated
Group A isn't that bad and Ty can definitely get out
Group C group of death IMO

Bunny is a finalist capable of having a good series against any of these guys if they were all at their peak form. Since 2022 he's had six premier top 4 finishes, half of those being 2nd places. If they were at peak form he'd be the weakest of the group but the group itself would be a very believable top 4 finish.
But that said, none of them are probably going to be at their peak. Even Maru looked a step slower at ESL Summer than he did when he won Code S last season.
TY it's hard to bet on coming right back from the military, but you never know, and Classic hasn't looked anywhere near as strong as he did a few years ago. He's rounding into form, but I'll take current Bunny over either of them as they are currently.

We could have a second consecutive gsl without a single zvz... which I would honestly be amenable to

Special and Astrea fighting? ^^
I'll be happy as long as there's not too much TvT...

Rooting for Astrea and Special LETS GO

hoping TY shows Maru who the OG TvT specialist is!

There is a world in which Maru doesn't get out of his group, wow. Depending on TY / Bunny form of course, or even Classic, but it is impressive how more stacked Code S gets with a few more military returnees.

It looks more stacked but it's really not imo S1 looked kinda the same and returnees got wiped on the first round

Excited for GSL![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
Isnt that prize pool supposed to be bigger because of all the patreon support ?
