EPTBeast of the Hill FFA Map Contest - Results
Hello, everyone! It's HyperONE again. Nearly two months ago, I announced the first ever Beast of the Hill FFA Map Contest, and now I have returned to announce the results!
Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who participated. Many of you were new to FFA mapmaking, but it didn't stop you from putting your best foot forward and presenting refreshing and novel maps. Before I announce your winners, please note that the public judging scoresheet can be found here. All judges have been anonymized, but you can see both scores and comments in the spreadsheet.

Congratulations to our top 5, and many thanks again to all the mapmakers who made something new for this contest! This holiday season has proven to be a very busy and tough time for the mapmaking community, especially considering the post-TLMC17 burnout.
As promised in the announcement post, after performing any necessary iterations and adjustments to the submissions, all maps will be considered for use in Season 2 of my Circle Derping Beast of the Hill FFA tournament series. Afterword
With that, we conclude the first Beast of the Hill FFA Mapping Contest. I am not yet certain if there will be another, but our mapmakers delivered fantastic maps despite burnbout and the bustle of the winter season, and I'm confident that another contest would be well worth the while. Unfortunately, that will not take place until Season 2 of Circle Derping has run its course, which will not likely not happen before the summer months of 2023.
Thanks again to everyone who submitted the fruits of their labor, all the judges who shared their thoughts, all the players who made it possible to sustain a competitive Free-For-All series, and all the friends and mentors who introduced me to mapmaking and put me on the road that led to this moment!
