After four days of upset-laden group stage play, the round-of-eight bracket for DHM Last Chance has been determined. The remaining eight players will fight it out in the playoffs during Jan 15-16 to determine who will win the final major tournament before IEM Katowice.
My take on player's chances here, from most to least likely. 1-Winner of Dark-Maru probably takes it all. I'd say its Maru. 2-Reynor hasn't been playing well enough to beat either of them right now, i can see him getting to the finals but i don't think he can take a best of 7. 3-Cure and Zest are always big challenges for tournament winners to overcome, but they're not exactly winners(Someone had to win that gsl final between them right?). 4-Solar and Drg are still waiting for the fabled tournament where they take back lost glory, i don't see why this would be the one. 5-Time can only run into so many good players until the better player plays better.
I feel like this could be Solars tournament. A doable bracket and on the other side Dark might take out Maru for him. Or in his current ZvT form I could even see him beating Maru himself
Its weird to see Serral not tweet after his loss. I think he always tweeted after something like this in the past? Hope is not too hard to himself. Sad to see him go so early.

Stats will come back soon, I guess.
With this last patch, toss have no chance. When toss is figured out, they are f***ed. NO chance stats will go far in tourneys. herO is very strong, but he will never win anything big. Nor will maxpax or showtime. Nah, the death of toss is here. For sure. Unfortunately.
At the highest leverl i mean. Not having a lot of players in GM, or a lot of participants at the beginning of tourneys.

Zest could have had the series vs. Cure easily. He played so sloppy when he was ahead and could have carried the win home easily in at least two games.

Seriously, protoss doomers are something else.

about 80% of the grandmaster league are protoss players, what are you talking about
Such a shame not a whole lot of people talked about the games on this thread. Also, I remember that when serral won his dh last year there was a thread for it, but none for maru's. Hoping we get a thread for this one
