This week's ESL Open Cups saw the European server finally freed from the grasp of the German tyrant HeroMarine, but the refugees from his reign have begun to establish a regime for themselves on the American server, with another ambitious young Terran claiming the throne. In the meantime, an exile managed to upset her Korean overlords on their home soil.
For the first time a foreigner has managed to not only reach the finals of the Korean server cup, but to actually go the entire distance and claim victory. Scarlett had a relatively easy way to the semi finals, but her last steps towards the crown were taken against heavy opposition, as Trap and Zest had to be overcome. In the finals, Scarlett showed fantastic understanding of Zest's playstyle and countered the IEM Katowice runner-up's PvZ in very rogueish manner, abusing any weak spot she had identified mercilessly. An impressive victory for the Canadian Zerg.
On the European server HeroMarine finally fell to his challengers. As Serral did not heed last week's call for help by his fellow Zerg players, Reynor once more had to try to defeat the German Terran and stop him from getting a fourth victory in a row. The Italian did get his revenge for last week's loss in the finals, learning from his defeat and countering HeroMarine's strategies blindly this time. Before meeting Big Gabe, Reynor had already taken out the Frenchmen Denver and Clem, and in the finals defeated Liquid's Harstem, who had come so far for the first time. Believe it or not, Reynor's victory marks the very first win for a Zerg player in the European cup. We shall see if HeroMarine can reclaim his reightful spot at the top next week.
Meanwhile on the American server the refugees of the European tyranny once more showed the NA players who's boss, and for second time in a row young Liquid player Clem was able to claim victory. Eliminating Cham, Skillous, and Denver on the way to the finals, the Terran player there faced off with Bly. The Ukrainian veteran put together quite an impressive run himself with victories over PtitiDrogo and uThermal, but it was not enough to assail Clem's dominance. This marks not only Clem's second victory in a row, but also the second time consecutively that no NA players were able to reach the top 4 of their own cup—in fact, with Neeb only a single NA player even reached the top 8. Can someone native to the server step up next week?
ESL Open Cup winners earn $100 in prize money and 10 ESL Pro Tour points. Players who finish second earn 5 ESL Pro Tour points. Week #12 of ESL Open Cups is set to take place on March 29th.
congrats to everyone who won! esp scarlett, she's still in good shape and deserves the win. also super glad reynor won, esp in such convincing fashion, hoping this is the start to getting out of the slump he's had since 2019

Esl open Cup replay Don t get released. But A LOT of casters cast them and some pros stream as well. I think, looking for Vod s of Wardi, Heromarine, Cranky Ducklings (defnatly covered Kr) CreightonOlsen, Take, Lambo would be a good start. I m not to sure about NA coverage, as I m at sweep then, but I m pretty sure Zombigrub and Feardragon would Cover those as well.. I ve probably missed way more than I actually listet though..
