Patience is one of those players that could lose to anyone but still that's an impressive qualifying victory for someone who everyone assumed would never make it back into Code S ever.

I'm sure he will keep trying every season. Also TOP wasn't in Code S (let alone Code A) from October 2011 to now, April 2020. It's impressive he broke that streak, but he's by far the worst player who made Code S this season. We made an allowance through myself (and conscious efforts by all parties) as Creighton was about to jumpstart his casting career. I hope he's doing okay by now as we both haven't gotten much in contact after he left Korea.

But at the same time I had the impression that we saw more "new" names. If they are willing to also compete in the next qualifiers this year, we perhaps finally could see some new faces in GSL. And I'm reeeeeally happy for TOP. He is the personified swag.

Natural would be fun to see on GSL too and it would've made Artosis happy hehehe Anyways, pretty cool that Dream and Armani were able to qualify, a shame that Super didn't and Bunny breaking his non-qualifying streak is pretty nice too. But, all things apart, what do you guys think about having less spots on GSL? If they had the same as in 2019, we would have new players and an healthier scene maybe?

The qualifier for IEM was aweful for Terran with only 5 Terran qualifying out of 24 spots for the main event. And then the GSL Super Tournament qualifier was also aweful for Terran with 4 Terran making it to the main event out of 16 spots. But it's good to see some balance in the qualifiers for this GSL, as we came very close to 1/3 for each race.

IDK if I'd say ST was awefull for Terran, they were one off to have a balance number of player in the round of 16 then they had a perfect balance in the round of 8 (3 out of 8 so a bit above 33%) had 25% in the semi, but that include 1 tvt quarter (there was also a pvp quarter tho) and they had a finalist/winner. It's pretty much perfect balance to me.

They are two different calibre of players (with a few exceptions) and this would seem like a sensible way to organise the group stages.
