2020 Ladder Season 1 brings new 1v1 and Team maps to ladder!
These maps will be available for playtesting or exploration in the Custom Games section of Multiplayer today. Below are some descriptions from the creators of the maps. Please click on the images to see the detailed views.

Congrats to all the mapmakers once again. Good stuff overall.
I have tended to play team games in sc2, and am starting to play legacy finally. One thing I notice is that almost every map has natural expansions further and further away, and even getting a third requires going halfway across the gd map. (it isn't quite that bad, but it sure as hell feels like it as a zerg). I wish that the makers of the 3v3 and 4v4 maps would give us a bit more resources that weren't always exposed.

For 2v2, a shared ramp or at least very close teammate ramps is so important. Always good to see team maps be refreshed and not neglected

Golden Wall's a pretty sweet map. I just hope the cannon rushes in the corner of the main (there's a two pylon one which seems like a mistake from Blizz and there's a reinforceable three pylon one plus some potential behind the main mineral line at the very least), and the proxy hatches at the opponent's gold aren't too strong. Biggest disappointment is that you can't push a probe through the gold like on Redshift (though you can still push a queen with a creep tumor) and proxy tempest/shield battery the opponent.

How much minerals are the walls in the main?

Two layers of 20. The ones in the middle of the map are just 5.
In the WardiTV map contest souL went for some absolutely awful SCV pull against Reynor not realizing that they were 20.
edit: Couldn't find the full VOD, but souL tries to mine the wall eventually and just gets his SCVs killed by Reynor one after another as they try to mine the back wall.

Nice! So basically two new maps. Purity and Industry LE: looks very promising I am excited to play this one. Golden Wall LE: looks to me like Newkirk LE and also this kind of maps reminds me of a Pythagoras tree. Zen again? Oh please no . And simulacrum? :/ The aesthetics of the new maps seem cool but I don't remember which they were in the Wardi tournament that featured them so we'll see in game I guess.

It's nice that Zen stays. I really love the map. Blizz could've removed Nightshade though

I don't understand why they always have to keep that one wonky map that nobody likes for a second season (Zen here). It's basically never played in pro games because it's always vetoed and I'll certainly keep vetoing it too.
As for the rest I'm very happy, this looks like the best map pool in a long time. Particularly excited about Ever Dream and Golden Wall.

Excellent news - I'm particularly excited to see how "Golden Wall" and "Purity" work out in practice. They look like they will promote some unique map-specific strategies.
