Neeb defeated uThermal 4-1 in the grand finals of Cheeseadelphia 11, claiming the $4,000 first place prize and his third Cheeseadelphia championship.
While uThermal threw a variety of different tactics at Neeb—including proxy barracks rushes, SCV-pull all-ins, and fast banshees—the American Protoss was able to successful navigate the threats on his way to the title. However, there was more to uThermal's game than just early game attacks, as the highlight game of the finals featured the two players slugging it out in a fierce, 29 minute brawl on Ephemeron. uThermal's hybrid bio-mech army looked overpowering for much of the game, but Neeb was able to exploit its lack of mobility to steal an upset in the end.
North American stalwart MaSa took third place, while 2019 breakout player Astrea finished in fourth.
At least it was better competition than Psistorm cup. The questions there wasn't if Neeb would win there, it was if he would drop a map. Still a great time to be sure, but there are few in the world that can compete with him, let alone an NA tourney without Special or Scarlett. USA representing!

The final series reminded me a lot of IEM Shanghai finals, with uThermal doing lots of aggressive and unorthodox openings to get ahead in the early game, but Neeb was much better at recovering today than he was back then.

There's no interpretation of the statement "wow they just had the black guy on for diversity so he could say stupid sentences" that isn't racist. they saw Tempo in the cast, instead of criticizing his commentary (which btw was stellar all weekend), he goes straight to "diversity hire" line and makes it about his race.
Fuck that, it's absolutely the type of hate speech that should have no place in the community. I've seen people perma banned over balance whining, being a racist shithead definitely should go up there
Neeb has shown some improbable defences/comeback wins in recent times. Against TIME in a recent WCS, soO (and to a lesser extent Stats) in NW, uthermal here...

It was pretty shitty for sure. However most of the perms for balancing whining are after multiple temp bans and people continuing to do so and not changing their posting.
TL’s mods give people the chance to reflect and improve their posting, and hopefully that change is taken on board.
TL is pretty damn strictly moderated compared to other places on the internet, especially in the realm of gaming. New posters frequently fall foul of this, but if they choose to stick around and behave themselves I’d prefer that than someone being permed, getting angry and going to other places where shitty attitudes are prevalent.

Sure but I Don t think that racism and Balance whinning should be treated eben remotly equally. Balance whinning is (mostly) blaming someone else (Balance Team, the other race, Borken strats) for what is in 99,99% your own fault and toxic. But that is it. Racism Kills people. It gives people like Trump, Jonson, Le pen or Höcke Power.

TY, Perhaps I unsuccessfully chose the moment to watch and spoke out unrestrainedly. It’s just that in Russia the problems with diversity seem too far-fetched and the poet often annoys me. I do not consider myself racist, but racist jokes do not become less funny because of this. And good jokes cannot be bad. On the other hand, there was no slavery in a race for a specific category of citizens, but in America it was 100 years ago It’s quite funny to read how some people trigger such statements
As for the fact that I have been watching starcraft since 2014 and have not seen this caster. Perhaps it was later that I did not watch cheesedelfia. And so in the 14th year, I took 1st place on Likibet since I watched 95% of matches for half a year

But in the USA only black people were in slavery, probably because of a slightly different look. For example, when in Russian ballet white actors are painted black to play the role of a black man. This causes aggression from black Americans. Read funny posts on instagram. For reference, Russia has less than one black per 10 thousand people.
Calm down. There wasn't anything he said that was racist, whatsoever. It was more of a commentary against the organizers—an accusation of blatant diversity hiring practice, which is mostly frowned upon. Obviously he wasn't satisfied with tempo's post-game commentary either. You guys need not throw around accusation of racism so liberally. I think tempo's very entertaining, and provides great sc2 content, but not everyone has to agree.
By the way, when can we get more Neebs and Scarletts on this giant continent?? It's so sad; Blizzard is based here, yet we fall severely behind EU. Bleh!
