The reasoning behind that was, that not necessarily the best player possible were invited, but also players with a lot of history witch HSC, like TLO or Teaja It's hard to say how good he would perform, however he had really impressive results lately. Imo he brings the most entertaining games of all terrans atm, however that's just my opinion and it's understandable that they didn't invite him (over Taeja or Cure, tho I'd prefer him over Cure at least; then again, Cure might be one of the few koreans that get their flight sponsored so there's that).

I couldnt find a statement if fantasy was invited or not. i was just corious. I also think that he is showing very entertaining games, plays on a really high level and is better then taeja. But the argument with the historic aspect is understandable. but fantasy was at hsc XVII, so i thought he could be invited.

Sick lineup, really looking forward to it. Big thanks to Take and Naruto (and the rest of the crew) for organizing yet another awesome event! With the new patch it will be interesting how things will turn out, I´m making the ballsy predicition neither Serral nor Reynor will win this, maybe, just maybe, not even a zerg.

Serral needs this one to match TaeJa but it will most definitely be harder with the new patch!

in terms of wins Zest could match Taeja too. He "only" failed the back to back to back by 1 map (first attempt, losing to Patience 3-4)

No surprise here, but still a cool video from the guys

That's true, but I would be surprised to see Zest win the tournament considering how he has been playing lately. Also, Serral wouldn't only match TaeJa's overall and consecutive amount of HSC won but he would also reach him at 11 Premier Tournaments in total(won in 22 months instead of 24).

If there are any players have to be replaced, can we please have Goblin or Skillous? They had an amazing showing at Nationwars, would love to see even more from them at HSC.

Is Reynor eligible to drink? If not, he must have advantage over other drunk opponents.

FYI german regulations: 14 consume under parental supervision up to 15% 15 16 consume and buy up to 15% no supervision 17 18 + consume and buy any %

Players in the tournament do not drink or play drunk.

Looks like a great tournament! I have a question on the scheduling side of things - for some players, the tournament ends rapidly on Day1 because they are eliminated quickly.
Is it difficult to schedule the 4 groups so that it all ends on the second day? This will ensure that players will retain an "interest" till end of day2.
Is something like this even desirable for the viewers?

You mean like playing ~4 rounds of each group compared to two whole groups? There are several reasons to not do it. We have 16 computers available to play - meaning two whole groups. After 4 rounds lots of players potentially have already won or lost key-matches.
Its better to have players available to cast / shoot some videos that are not playing. If players have to play during that day we would prefer not do bother them doing stuff. I see your point and I am not saying its wrong or a bad suggestion but I believe it has more disadvantages for us compared to advantages.

Someone asked if FantaSy was invited:FantaSy was not invited. He asked me but I already had the lineup finalized. There is no reason. Its not that I don't value him or think he's bad but not every player will make it. Also keep in mind lots of people that were originally invited / planned cancelled for example

It’s a shame it came slightly later but the Emirates airline sponsor Arsenal, whose legend Dennis Bergkamp was nicknamed ‘the non-flying Dutchman’ and who famously drove to European matches.

I don't know how I feel about best of 2's instead of Bo3. I feel it benefits cheesier (read: non-standard) players.
Edit: other than that, I'm extremely hyped. LOVE the atmosphere at HSC.

I dunno Kev, but this HSC looks like an absolute blast!
