Thus said, we have seen very few of Serral in 2019 so effectively nobody can have a clear idea of his shape.

None of his HSC series were against tournament contender players either. Unless you count INno but he wasn't exactly in impeccable form last year.

Both Inno and soO have been very solid since the end of November despite an underwhelming 2018 and uThermal is indeed a Circuit contender; not to mention Serral solocarried Zerg in that tournament in which Terran seemed unstoppable while Rogue didn't even make it out of the groupstage. I don't get why it should be assumed that Serral's form will be lacking merely because we didn't see him play; I can't tell you he is in top shape but I'd expect him to be appropriately prepared for such an important tournament.

The problem with people like you is you think you need a larger sample size than you actually do. In what I've seen I can tell he's still in really great shape and it will show in his results this year, you'll see. I do agree we can't tell exactly how good he is yet but we can approximate. I should've said "he's at least nearly as good as last year if not better." I've seen things in his play that look like improvements to me. The map dropped to Rail doesn't bother me. Just a misjudgement by Serral and Rail is a lot stronger than most people think. He bounced back and crushed him the next map immediately.

Well, form in sc2 can change very fast so naturally there are doubts when we haven't seen a player in a while. Rogue went in 2 months from being a literal bonjwa to losing in the GSL ro32.

He did play in WCS Winter looking at least as good as he was in HSC, to me; I can't tell that you he will repeat his BlizzCon run but I would be surprised if he didn't play at his usual level.

Scenario #1: Your Average Code S Finals - (Wiki)PartinG, (Wiki)soO and (Wiki)GuMiho advance. . . . Once PartinG’s through it will be a simple it will be a simple matter for the loser of soO/GuMiho to sweep through those silly non-GSL finalists and claim the third, and final spot in the big dance. That happens when you get coffee mid-sentence :D Great article. So hyped

But by the time this rolls around I expect him to be in good form. He’s going to win and it’s not going to be close. Korean Terrans are too good at this game and Fantasy is a Korean Terran x2. Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but.... he was eliminated a couple of hours ago
