Obviously seeding is wrong for the draw. It should be based on 2018 rankings. That should give Serral, Showtime, Heromarine and Lambo a group each. Then Uthermal should be with Lambo, Reynor with Heromarine, Elazer with Showtime and Serral with Mana. The rest shoul;d be a random draw. But i think they tried to make sure there are less Protosses in next round as Serral and Elazer have the best chance of eliminating any Protoss. and they wanted at least 1 Terran to advance.

Heromarine wouldn't have a group he ended up second, also pretty sure they didin't fix it to have less protoss...
I feel like it's base on Montreal result somehow, or maybe just "gut's feelling"? The ranking would go Serral-Reynor-Showtime-Lambo-Uthermal-Elazer-Mana-Gungfu which seems to logical to be totally random but stranger thing have happen especially since the NA groups are random (At least I hope so because if not someone is trolling us lol)

Yes, I missed the fact that Heromarine was 2nd. But that would give Serral with Gungfu, Showtime with Mana, Lambo with Elazer and Raynor with Uthermal.

I know but it would explain why Reynor is ahead of Uthermal. Reynor-Serral-Lambo-Showtime(tied with UT) are the 4 best european of WCS Montreal.

It would make absolutely no sense to take WCS Montreal as basis for seeding, unless one would liuke to manipulate something.

WCS Winter Rules

According to the rulebook it looks like 2018 standings stop being used for seeding beginning the RO16, although they were used in qualifiers and in the RO32.

The Round of 16 group stage will consist of the 16 players who advanced from the Round of 32. These
players will be seeded into four groups of four players each.

• Players who advanced from their group first will be assigned a 1-seed
• Players who advanced from their group second will be assigned a 2-seed
• Each Round of 16 group will have two 1-seeds and two 2-seeds
• Players who were in the same group in the round of 32 may not be placed in the same Round of
16 group

I feel like this is missing something... so is it random? Are they just placing them however they want within those rules?

I mean we should not rule out the chance that it's random, NA group really do look random.

It doesn\t look random at all. But there is a little problem balance wise currently, We can fix it a bit by staging groups. Like AI Serral and Elazer are faster than other players. Hateme, with all due respect, will not advance.

so tell me who is a good european terran ? the race isnt just that famous in eu on top level so there are very few top tier terrans
the sad thing is that they are both in the same group.

ps: if heromarine still plays this awefull build hes gonna lose ... i dare a terran to cry for balance until they stop playing the WORST BUILD POSSIBLE every damn tvp xD

Serral's group is hilarious, he gets the weakest trio of players to face against (relative to the other groups) , all in his best match up. Too much luck!

Tell them what a proper build is with your gm game knowledge.
