I have some many good memories from listening to TotalBiscuit back in the WoL days, staying late at night watching so many MLGs, IPLs, Ironsquids… Listening to him alongside Day9, Apollo, Husky & co really helped me through some dark times back then. His shoutcasting was so engaging and his presence in the scene gave away a feeling of reassurance. I remember reading about his ordeals getting a Green Card and also reading his blogs after various events giving much insight behind the scene. I also remember Axiom, how they picked up some ex-SlayerS boys and made interaction between western fans and Korean pros more common, and that time when Axiom won GSTL. On so many occasions did I watch his ‘WTF is …’ series during my indie games hoarding spree and ended up buying games I enjoyed. Even after my interest in Starcraft dwindled by the end of WoL and started watching more Dota, you made enjoyable content in Dota and kept me occupied. We might have never met in person but I have so many good memories to thank you for. You certainly will be missed and I sincerely thank you for all the good memories you have given me, rest in peace John. | ||

Frequently spiky some might say, but to me he was generous to the generous and just didn't suffer fools gladly, which to me is a good way to be. Ran his teams, his events and his YT content with a real adherence to his own standards and for the net benefit of Starcraft and gaming as a whole. Rest in Peace John Bain. | ||
