He is honestly passionate about going to NW and is popular enough to win the vote. He probably even created a portion of the hype around the event which everybody should be happy about. This is exactly how it is supposed to work. Frankly, the complaints that I would find most justifiable are by the other contenders who didn't get voted into the top three. But instead it's mostly people who are pretty much uninvolved but, ironically, all the more toxic. And I could imagine that even to the players who did make it through the voting it is probably annoying that most of the NW 'hype' is just people complaining about one particular person being voted for. Also, if he wins a match or not is beside the point. People voted for him because they want to see him play. Probably a number of players will not win a single match; it's a completely normal thing to happen. | ||

Nationwars is entertainment first, people vote for whatever person they think will produce the most entertainment. If anything blame the system and nationwars itself, it's a popularity contest, even strengthened cause you can vote daily. If a serious competition was first priority there would be a qualifier. | ||

Avilo was clearly behind both Mcanning and JonSnow about 3-4 days ago, I believe after Winter's stream campaign. Then the VPN thread happened, people began talking about Winter's campaign, Avilo posted his rap and Rifkin replied. At that point Avilo began rising in the vote surpassing even Mccanning who I believe he had always been behind earlier. Of course we'll never know exactly what caused what. But my bet is that the anti-Avilo campaign generated more sympathy for than against him, because people started feeling that his opposers were going too far. At least that was the case with myself.
