Maybe it's not about money for him, maybe he just wants to complete his collection of trophies But anyone can lose to sOs, that guy is unpredictable as hell. He is able to perform absolute fantastically and absolute bronze the day after. And Stats already had some downs in his form this year. Point is, that there could be numerous different factors why did Stats lose.

Last note - if it all was about money for him, the easiest way to get some is to bet against himself. I know that matchfixing is not a popular theme, but considering "money profit above all else" scenario, imagine that you are 100 % guaranteed BlizzCon attendee, you already won GSL this year and bets are heavily in your favor on that match. Why simply not to bet against yourself, especially when you can always defend yourself with "I played against known cheeser and trickster that caught me off guard"? Easy money. But I'm not saying that Stats did any of these, of course. My opinion is that he just lost to non standard play which is his commonly known weakness.

Lol are you serious?

"But I'm not saying that Stats did any of these, of course." Any other question?

Of course he didn't. That part wasn't what I was questioning.

I was questioning if you actually think someone should try what you said.

Well, I don't think anyone should matchfix at all, but I'm living in a real world, not in some utopia, so there always will be someone who will (or at least try to) matchfix. My whole idea was just that if money is your prior and only concern and you want to get them quickly (no matter how you achieve that goal), then easy and possible way is to bet against yourself in a situation, where you are guaranteed spot at WCS finals, you already won that league before and you are going to play against player, who is no favourite in that match but also is perfectly capable of beating you, so there is smaller chance that anybody will accuse you of matchfixing. Anyone could lost against sOs in the GSL semifinals and it wouldn't be weird. But try to imagine that Stats lose in the GSL semifinals against I don't know Hurricane for example. That would be much more suspicious. In the end, I don't think anyone should matchfix, but reality is that matchfixing is common element of any sport, not just e-sport.

GGs. playing PvP vs sOs must be like, the most stressful experience in pro starcraft. I feel like his playstyle lets him punch above his weight in that matchup.

Depends also on the games. Like if Hurricane played a game of his life then I would not be suspicious. Besides, if you're not confident in acting at all, matchfixing for a successful player like stats is actually risky. Even if you get a ton of money, if you're caught, I believe you have to give it all back.

These games are surprisingly similar to my Diamond ladder PvP experience so what do you expect?

I'm glad that sOs and Stats finally reach Diamond league Protoss level.

No offense but DT rush, proxy stargate into 3SG phoenix war, fast immortal push and proxy robo are truly a great deal of my ladder experience

But the question is can you apply and execute them well enough to defeat sOs or Stats?

I don't think he's disparaging their skill in any way, just commenting on overall game quality.

For getting hype, Bogus, for being a champion, Dark.

Disagree. His only hope is a massive inno choke

My thoughts exactly!!! :D

Even if you think every kind of "cheese" is no skill and no thought strat that magically works at gsl, there's no excuse for the immortal push game. It was not even an immortal push. It was a macro game into a timing that worked bc sOs read the game and executed it better than stats. If you're smarter than your opponent, but maybe lacking in mechanics you're the worse player :/ ????

Again, "quality" is a subjective thing. I would say If you can execute all those "dirty tricks" as well as sOs or Stats, it will still be a high quality match. And that's one of the reasons why he is a Diamond Protoss whereas sOs (or any Protoss greats) is even beyond GM Protoss.

agreed its usually seemed like his strongest match, it must be so hard playing against some one who could and will do anything to throw you off your game especially in a match that is heavily dependent on mindgames.
