With only four players remaining in the final GSL of 2017, sOs and Stats were the first semifinalists to take the stage. Though Stats was assured his place at BlizzCon, only a victory over the Splyce Protoss would keep sOs' dreams for a spot in the year end tournament alive, making this PvP a must win match for the two time WCS world champion.
After throwing away four adepts to only kill two of Stats' probes, sOs lost ten workers to oracles, triggering him to go for a glaives all in. sOs killed Stats' third while attacking Stats’ natural, but failed to break the Splyce Protoss and went down 0-1
sOs evened the series on Odyssey. Stats killed sOs' expansion with stalkers while researching blink, but failed to build detection and died to dark templars.
In game 3, sOs killed nine probes with a proxy oracle, prompting Stats to move into phoenixes. sOs went into double stargate, while keeping Stats pinned at home. With phoenix range complete, he dealt the final blow to go up 2-1.
sOs applied early pressure featuring a pair of immortals while getting +1 attack and charge in game four. Stats took a third as sOs backed off, but the Jin Air Protoss was merely reloading with archons and zealots. He crashed into Stats' natural to move within one win of the finals.
sOs' proxy robo went unscouted on Newkirk Precinct. Producing off three gateways, sOs forced Stats to abandon his natural. Stats held his ramps with forcefields for a time, but a warp prism ferried an immortal onto the high ground, restoring vision and giving sOs the game and match.
sOs is now 8th in the Korean Standings for WCS, and he could lock his return to BlizzCon with a win in the Code S Finals—a tournament that he has yet to win.

And one "community-appointed trash korean" in the finals, one.

I am a big fan of sOs from the first time I saw how he play in Woongjin Stars, before he got his first Blizzcon title. But I did not like the job done by Tastosis today, despite how much I love them. Casting in favor of one of the two players should be against any ethics in eSports. It is like Stats have not existed today, and we talk about a very recent GSL champion, it is really not fair no matter who plays, no matter how strong or cool he/she is. Of course all of us have favor players, Artosis never hides his love towards players like herO or TY, but today was really sOs against...uuuum... some random guy for instance. Still, happy for sOs! Astonishing victory!

I can't help but think that Stats was definitely off today. No way he would normally lose to sOs.

No double championship for Stats now.
Also, the winner of Inno vs Dark will be the clear favorite over sOs.

I really want $O$ to win Blizzcon so obviously GOGO $O$.

$O$ HYPE! So glad to see him advance despite everyone already counting him out. I wonder if hed fair better against Innovation or Dark? He still has a GSL Code S to win, you know....

Of course he won, that guy make no sense

Btw the entire Splyce team got rekt by sOs in a bo3 (TY), a bo5 (Solar) and a bo7 (Stats), they are even worse than KT atm. I think only the former KT ace Zest can win a bo9 series against sOs to save them, they should consider to let Zest in.

I'm a Terran player, but I honestly may pull for SOS to win, even if it's Innovation he faces in the finals. His creativity, boldness, and unpredictability is what Starcraft is all about. SOS will pull any build out at any time. I hope he shows us something new in the finals.

Haha well said @brickrd , moral outrage is the flavor of this century so far.

If Inno gets pass Dark, he will be massively confident and then smash sOs like a punching bag, no doubt.

For getting hype, Bogus, for being a champion, Dark. Disagree. His only hope is a massive inno choke Inno hasn't choked in a finals since 2013, and he's played (and won) seven of them since.
And sOs has lost every series he's played vs Inno since 2015. Which is to say, all of LotV.
If that is sOs's only hope he better be praying for a miracle.
