Not even closed to be bias I am just saying truth. KR team had to play in 5-7 AM at KR time without sleeping and play with other server with bad ping which give them a lot of disadvantage. How's that bias? I thought only foreigners are incredibly bias to their players vs korean players. you're confused with the uber-incredible-OMFG-too wuch much biaised towards koreans, but that's ok i fucking like you, you are starting to build that tease, that thing undefinable around nation wars... you are so biaised for koreans !!! let me tell you that once again they're not going to win this. last time france didn't event let them win a single game, and this time i can tell you that poland will take this EZPZ ! Go Polaaand !

(one of my EU friend told me playing NA isn't that bad for him) Kr had even worse ping than Mlord had actually. Mlord mainly played well but it is true. Sadly, he couldn't fight back in kespa cup which is offline (0-4), the only foreigner who made Koreans shocked is Neeb so far. Completely depends on where in EU you are and if it's NA West, Central or East. The statement that the ping from EU to NA is better than KR to NA in general is not true.

And any EU countries are much closer to America than from Korea. It is very true in general.

Games were played on NA Central which is the fairest server. We could not do better. I am not saying it's the fault of O'gaming at all. If it was not even NA west, and played on NA Central, then it is where France is way closer than from Korea. Just look at google map. Even NA west looks much fair for both side than NA central...

Looking at maps can be very misleading due to how ASes are distributed, but I would argue that NA West is probably the "fairest" server for Korea vs France. But if you look at European countries in general NA West favors Korea slightly, whereas NA Central favors Europe, but even then it can vary a lot for individuals.

NA west favors korea, but only about 1/20 difference. But in NA central, France is 1/3 closer than from Korea. Which one do you think is more fair?

Can't you read? I said that NA West is generally the fairest for Korea vs France, but that this isn't the case for all EU countries. And since the specific ISP and location of the individual players has a large impact on the latency, figuring out what is "fairest" in each case is problematic which is why they just go for NA Central as a general rule.

I don't mean to disparage how Mlord played well in nations war final. He deserves that win cuz 5-0 is very impressive score no matter who had more advantage, but let's be honest it wasn't fair match like Neeb winning kespa cup in Korea in offline. Hopefully, foreigners can prove this time in nation war 4 in offline ro4 and final, so another shocking for Koreans 2nd time after Neeb's kespa cup. (not that much surprise though) Honestly, nobody cared much about Nation wars 3 results in Korea. Actually many fans already predicted Kr team was not even best line up and can fall even before final due to online tournament, where very random results mostly happen, and anybody can beat anybody due to various reasons.

Glad to see this brought up. ![]() These are approximates from some random site i found online but it roughly checks out. For actual sc2, add about 30-50ms. But it's to prove a point. WEST Seoul to LA = ~137ms LA to Amsterdam = ~144ms Central Austin? Dallas? I have no clue where the US central server is located but lets just assume Austin as a decent centerpoint). A bit biased towards EU. Central might be fair though for Eastern Europe vs KR. US East clearly favored towards most, if not all of EU in an EU vs KR match. US West is hardly biased towards anyone, if anything it might be tougher for Europeans that aren't as close to the atlantic subsea cables. KR to US West is in general not the worst out there, I'd say EU players have a higher chance of being screwed over by a slow/crappy route especially if you're living in the eastern parts of Europe. So if you want to be nice, the further east someone from Europe plays, the more fair it is to play on US Central, or do WEST-CENTRAL-WEST rotations. Personally I play from Oslo, Norway -> US West and I get about 170ms. Most likely slightly higher than Seoul -> US West. France vs KR is probably best played on US West. ![]()
