I honestly think KT has a much better chance than people give them credit for in this match. Hopefully I'm wrong but I see KT winning AT LEAST two maps.

Zest and Stats will win, TY probably not, Leenock certainly not. Ace.

I think you're being a little bit too generous to Samsung here.
I think KT can win this week. But then, I'm the guy who thought that OKC would beat GS and put up a fight against CLE. Or that Arizona had a chance to go to the SB against the Broncos. Lol, don't trust me in 2016
I think KT have a decent draw. Considering recent results (especially SSL qualifiers and Proleague), they should be favored. Zest should beat Rogue, Stats should beat sOs and there you go. I'd favor KT in an ace match as well. Not to mention that TY can absolutely beat Maru and an ace match might not be needed.
Huh I expected KT to send out Zest on Sejong to kill Maru. I dunno why, I just expected Maru to come out there. Maru vs TY will probably be a better game though.
Well, I hope Leenock has something prepared on Overgrowth to not straight up die immediately against Cure.
Samsung vs SKT looks like the next best match this week but who knows if that turns out to be true.

Really? I'm thinking KT 3-1
Yes. Cure is gonna smack Leenock, Jin Air predicted Zest in this map (because Dusk Towers is absent) so they send Rogue to snipe him, again Jin Air predicted TY in KSS and send Maru accordingly. Stats is the only one favorable KT got. Ace is Frozen Temple which Maru also has to prepare against Protoss for their match with CJ, so he won't be caught without a plan...
Zest has played 0 games on Frost this year, to say they predicted he comes out there because Dusk Towers isn't in the pool for the match is a bit of a stretch, as he could have come out on any of the other maps, especially King Sejong Station. And even then, he's the better player and can still win even if he's who Rogue wanted to face.
And Maru vs TY is pretty much 50-50. Maybe like 52-48. Should be a good game at least.

Lol I was simply comparing my luck this year to when it comes to choosing a certain team to win.
To your "on topic" point since mine was "off topic": KT can definitely win. I'm hoping this will be a very good series and whoever comes out on top this Saturday, goes into the Grand Finals knowing that the losing team will have revenge on their minds. I'm pretty certain that the Grand Finals will be KT vs. JAGW but anything can happen. Just like in " the American movies that talk about" sports

It's excellent that we get to have a preview of the finals. There are going to be mind-games that come out in the finals that are going to be taken straight out of this week's games, from the line-up choices all the way to strategies and the sizing up of these players against certain opponents.
I have correctly called a lot of games this year when the SPL table has voted the opposite way, but we have also had a lot of upsets this year (HOW DID MARU AND HERO NOT MAKE IT OUT OF SSL...) so it's really hard to accurately predict anything right now. Still I'll go with my gut and say that game one is going to be Cure, Zest, Maru, sOs, JIN AIR 3-1.
As for the rest of the games, they're not only unimpactful on the standings of things (wtf SKT) but also fairly easily decided. Regardless, there are some great matchups (Innovation vs Dear assuming we make it that far) that will be great to see no matter what the outcome of the games ends up being.

Then again, I'm a JAGW fanboy and KT is currently the main threat, so bring it on! Really Curious to see TY vs Maru. Might be the deciding point map for both teams.

Well, JinAir could not have asked for better matchups this week. I actually think it went so well they are gonna 3:0 KT. If either of the first 3 players loses though it can be 2:3 to KT as well.
CJ should be easy, I just hope Rogue makes a fool out of hero again. Go Go JinAir

I don't think so. For me, TY has shown mediocre results throughout LotV and was just lucky on opponents in one GSL run. While Maru owned the world's best players. And a choke in an unusual format does not count into this. So Maru will win. Cure will win. The other two matches probably go to KT. But both sOs or Rogue can prepare an upset.

Only you would call this mediocre and mean it.
Well, the last time when I was doing TY's match statistics against other ACE players, it was 1-7. I call that mediocre. I think, in between, he has won a few matches, so it could be now like 3-7? I understand that some people consider 3-7 a great result for a Terran, but if you want to see better statistics, check Maru.
EDIT: Maru's score in 2016: 8-5 TY's score in 2016: 3-10
TY is good against weaker opponents, he beats them quite hard. Against the ACE players (Zest, Stats, Dark, soO, Dear, Classic, herO, sOS ...) he is not that good.

If you look at it like that Cure is also better than TY. But outside of those exact statistics he isn't.
Your list needs work. Especially since you count a BO1 in Proleague as the same as a BO5 in GSL.
And yeah, these aren't the best statistics from TY. But calling his results mediocre is just wrong. If he was mediocre he'd be losing way more games to players below the top tier. If you look for example at their overall offline win rates this year, out of the players you mentioned TY is #3 after Maru and Zest.

Well, I am not saying, TY is a weak Terran. So far, he is the no. 2 in the world (unless they play with ByuN and ByuN wins). And you are right, I am counting matches and not maps. And it is not some "special ranking", it was just when TY was before a match with one of the ACE players and the predictions were saying, he wins it, because he is the best, I was always betting against him, because I knew, he is quite mediocre against the top opponents.
I was just laughing each time, when the commentators were calling at the beginning of TY's matches that he is undisputedly the best terran in the world, while Maru had his 12-0 winning streak, which was AGAINST several of the best players. First now, after Maru's SSL losses, TY seems to be coming closer to Maru. But still, I would bet on Maru without doubt in their match. Concerning Cure, yes, he is good, but not at all at TY's level ... and in any match against the top opponents (ACE players), I would not bet on Cure (maybe except Zergs).

You Troll!!! Of course, there is Scarlett (who has just beaten GuMiHo), but second best for sure :-)
Come on guys Maru will just wreck TY as usual... I mean in LOTV I think TY is actually on par with Maru skill/matchup wise and even has better results. Matchups = Maru has far better TvZ, while TY has better TvP and TvT they are basically equal. Overall though, Maru ist just on another level. Not only he is a champion, regularly beating the best players (in which TY is failing hard), but he it just shows when they are playing each other that TY cannt keep up with him. We'll see what happens tomorrow but TY win would be a huge upset for me and a sign something is not right with Maru. That guys just does not lose aside from TvP

Haha, I actually laughed on hero = best protoss in the world. Super and Stats are far more scary ATM i would say (Zest obviously being the undisputed best). If you look at how powerful P is at the moment in all matchups hero is actually not doing very well, especially against better opponents. I expect sexi boy to hit him with some fancy strat And cant wait what he does against Zest as well. Log ist just the Boss (wouldnt ever call him best Z in the world, but the most fancy and sexi for sure )
