Great guy to interview, gives you a little bit of everything -- PC bang, late BW era, b-teaming, ACE, military service, and a cinderella snipe. I remember watching M18M during the hybrid Proleague in 2011-2012 and thinking at some point, these ACE players kinda suck. Later I see this guy Stardust plays for some obscure foreigner SC2 team called "LighT" esports before moving around to other teams and eventually rising to prominence. Some players die as B-teamers. Some players die as ACE washups. Some players' careers die when they try to make a comeback after the military. Some players die when they move to foreigner teams after living in a BW-style team house. Not so for StarDust. Some players' careers die when they retire from SC2 the first time. StarDust?

This was the perfect antidote to come to after reading the match-fixing article. Stardust has been one of my favorite players ever since I first saw him play SC2, in the game where he made a crazy void ray/carrier army against Roro:

Do you have any plans of coming back for some of your fans in StarCraft 2?

Mmm, if I had to make a decision right now then I would say yes. I’m still practicing SC2 even as of right now but I have been taking breaks here and there. Mainly because the maps being used on ladder and the maps being used in Proleague are different so a lot of pro-gamers are not really laddering right now. So I’m just kind of waiting around and hoping for a map pool change. I plan on continuing my activities in America, so I’m planning out my timing for that. I probably won’t do it though until we arrive at a time where there are tons of tournaments available.

Blizzard literally killing e-sports.

I heard that the KR ladder is almost completely empty of everyone that plays in proleague due to the maps. Since the maps aren't the same, they see no reason to ladder.

I think that's a shame. I hope things are rectified, I'd like to see Stardust play again.

For me personally, I didn’t really follow anyone unless I thought they were good people personality-wise. But the whole concept of me having to bow my head and show respect just because some people were older than me never really made sense to me. Because of this mindset, I rebelled a lot. So a lot of teammates actually disliked me because of that. If I look back on it now and had the chance to do it all over again… I’d still act the same way.

I love this guy!
