Why is Blizzard doing stuff like this, when they could be working on some good SC2 maps?

The current map pool is good for me. Different people have different opinions. Most of TL.net prefers maps which allow for a lot of strategies on each individual map. Some people, myself included, want a wide variety of strategies in the overall map pool.

Map Pool A - Each map allows for about 3 different strategies overall, and each strategy is viable on each map.

Map 1 - Boom, Rush, Tech (smaller standard map)
Map 2 - Boom, Rush, Tech (standard map)
Map 3 - Boom, Rush, Tech (larger standard map)

Map Pool B - Each map allows for 2 different strategies at most, and no single strategy works on more than one map. Map 3 only allows one type of strategy to work.

Map 1 - Boom, Tech 1 (probably an island map)
Map 2 - Tech 2, Rush 1 (small standard map).
Map 3 - Rush 2 (very small map).

From my perspective, Map Pool B allows for more strategic diversity than Map Pool A. From most of TL.net's perspective, Map Pool A is more strategically diverse because it allows for more options on each individual map. Neither of us are wrong; we just have different opinions on what makes a map or map pool good.

I really feel like they made this mode for the Nova Covert Ops, but then thought people might rage on them for a SC2 campaign not being SC2 campaign xD

I never said the current map pool was or good in my post. Even good maps needs to be retired.
