Q: You beat Hush to go to Code S
A: I am very happy.
Q: You are now teamless, how have you managed?
A: I though about joining a foreign team if rules doesn't change. But Blizzard changed rules and I am now doomed.
Q: A lot of fans of yours hope you can get back to where you were in 2012.
A: People might worry I practise less as I grow older. But I will do my best.
Q: You used simple strategies against Hush.
A: I prepared a lot of strategies, and I know some of them are strategies that Hush can't deal with. I know some plays will very effective, so I used the same strategies in Games 1 and 5.
Q: You were very much disturbed by adepts at one point.
A: Zergs can sometimes lose to Adept harassments. I can't do much about this. But I got an effective strategy and used in Game 5. You just produce enough zerglings and harvest less gas.
Q: Anything to say about Code S?
A: Well, people say I am a veteran already, I hope the veteran can be as competitive as younger players.

I guess that he thought the foreign teams would prefer to focus their players on foreign tournaments and not in Korea.

It doesn't PREVENT them but what reason would a foreign team have to sign a Korean who can't play internationally for at least a year if they're lucky?

Blizzard had to choose between letting the best players win (meaning that foreigners are all out by RO8) and keeping foreigners' interest (with Korean-free tournaments). They wanted to make money so it was obvious they went with the latter.
Foreigners historically came close to Koreans at some point but now they've either lost interest or simply didn't want to practice and fell off.
