I doubt that any Korean team would pick up a player that cant play in PL. Only way we could see him in Korea is SKT picks him up or KeSPA decides to break their on rules and puts him on some sort of a 8th team.

There is no team that could potentially fill the void at the moment, so I guess almost everyone is expecting KeSPA to create a new 8th team. But nothing official yet. Guess we have to wait for PL Media Day.

If IEMs, Dreamhacks etc. are region locked it doesn't make any sense for mYi to have Rain on their roster, so it maybe is because of the region lock rumours.

Theory: These guys just can't stand it anymore. They have enough star-power to make it without SKT (or so we thought ... ?). Something is bothering them so bad, that they would rather leave SKT (before contract and screw their Proleague opportunities), leave their guaranteed-spot and guaranteed retirement + Show Spoiler [tangent] + (e.g. like Reach had with KTF) Oov is a backbreaking overly-demanding boss who's too harsh, strict, and extreme with his players (even by Asian-parent standards). Evidence: Sure, it might be because how they feel about SC2 right now, rather than the manager's fault - but I never remember this sort of 'string of top players willing to breach their contract to leave a team' under any other head-coach. Oov's demeanour looked that way when I saw him. IRL he was very stern, intimidating, and cold. If I had a boss whose body-language and way-of-relating was like his, I'd be very scared of disappointing him. Which'd screw me, because his standards are likely impossibly high. Mother Love >> Strict Boss Ofc this is my favorite finals, so I'll link it every chance I get, but I feel it's really telling. Jaedong's just gone 0:2 → 2:2, and his mom is going crazy with support. The two SKT coaches take FanTaSy aside to have a word. What stands out to me is how long and stern the talk was, and the giant contrast in body-language. Look at 14:05. FanTaSy's totally meek, and oov is socially domineering. Now imagine that situation, without the more personal/heartfelt touch of coach Park there. I'm suggesting it's down to person-problems and team dynamics, with no one there to balance-out oov. Used to be Boxer ffs ![]() + Show Spoiler [Linking Fomos Disclaimer] + Yes I know we're not meant to link Fomos, but this was hosted by Plexa and posted on TL in 2009 before that ban, so ![]() http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/final-edits/92605-a-deadly-dynasty And this right here is why I keep coming back to StarCraft - what was going-on behind the scenes? Who are the personalities behind the names, what are they like as people? I'm overjoyed to have briefly met FanTaSy (while still on SKT with Rain and Parting, August 2014), and my fandom/life can be complete if I ever get to unravel the dynamics going on in those shots.

Really interesting theory and in a general a really fascinating topic. Its kinda sad that there is so little information about how the relationships between the players/coaches really are behind the scenes. But in this case it never looked like SKT had any team chemistry issues, atleast judging from the videos and photos they post on YouTube and Twitter/Facebook.

I mean, he started tearing up on stage after the Proleague finals telling all his players what they mean to him, especially the ones who don't get regular playtime.
