With Legacy of the Void on the horizon, the first iteration of a LotV Proleague was confirmed on-stream during today's SK Telecom Proleague Grand Finals. The chairman of IeSF (confirmation needed) merrily confirmed the continuation of Proleague into the new year, thanking the fans for their unending support of the league and stating that professional Starcraft II in Korea could not have gone on without them.
Turnout at the venue was very high, overcrowding the alotted space and allegedly flooding nearby areas with people interested in the ongoing match. The IeSF chairman continued his impromptu Thank You-speech by saying that Starcraft II seems to be on the rise in Korea, once again thanking the fans and painting a bright future for the game going into 2016.
A sponsor for next year's Proleague has yet to be announced (SK Telecom have sponsored the previous two seasons), but SpoTV have been confirmed to still be broadcasting the league next season.
The chairman also promised that there will be additional KeSPA Cups going forward, at least one (supposedly one yet to be played in 2015) but presumably more.

Great news! I also read on reddit that they announced/confirmed the next KeSPA cup. Is that correct?
Anyway, sc2 seems to be doing great in Korea and will do even better next year I think!

Absolutely right, I forgot about that. KeSPA Cup seems to be a thing in multiple games going forward, which is also a net positive for KeSPA.

Being at the venue live really made me happy to see so many passionate Korean fans. It's really heartwarming to see that these fans aren't even casual fans, they seriously follow the scene intensely. I hope BW and Starcraft 2 last for another 10 years at least. <3

As the finals have also been steamed on AfreecaTV and Afreeca is taking over more and more SC II (and BW), maybe they start also sponsering here a bit. Would be coolio.
And yeah finals have shown, that SC II is not dead in Korea and man, I gonna miss HotS so hard

So happy Proleague continues, not that I really doubted it but it is always nice to have a confirmation. It is easily my favorite tournament and I love watching it all year long. The finals today were really sick as well!
Never stop, Proleague! <3

What would Prime do though? I really don't care, PRIME isn't competetive anyway so who cares. Maybe a partnership with axiom or something

Ohhh maybe there's a new sponsor on the horizon? nothing against SKT but seeing other companies interested in Starcraft would be nice!

I hope they go back to crazy maps...that will be insane in legacy

Good! proleague is an essential part of the scene!

Well, Naver did one season of StarLeague and Lotte and KT sponsored one KeSPA Cup each this year, SBENU did a lot with one season of GSL and two seasons of S2SL of course, and then we also have Hot6ix and their GSL sponsorship. So I'd say we have at least a bit of variety here.
I agree though, the more sponsors the better!
