You haven't sacrificed anything except for time. Just get the education later instead of earlier.

Easier said then done. You would have to start all over again, for a small chance to get a decent job.

i don't know what makes you guys think MC isn't pretty well off financially for the rest of his life. he had a pretty long career, played for big teams and won a lot of stuff. and he caught the prosperous era of sc2 as well. so unless he pissed away his money, which he probably didn't, i'm pretty sure commentating is just something to keep him busy and productive in some way, not a means of making a living.

Well do not forget about taxes, travel expenses, rent... and afaik he bought his mom a car. He has a financial pillow that's for sure but he's far from beeing "well off for the rest of his life".

I think it's funny and this is exactly what I was thinking about when I saw MCs haircut. Looks like the glorious leader's nephew or sth like that. Hope theres a chance that MC will cast a couple of matches together with the english casters. Edit: they just mentioned that MC is already there. i'm kinda interested in why he got warned as well...1 of reasons i'm scared to post sometimes...
I got warned for posting a meme/gif. Was not aware of that. Sorry. I was already concerned about political correctness

Shouting 'Nuclear Terran' is good enough English for me :D I really hope he joins the English casters for a game or two over the coming season. Make it happen please GSL!

It's just for the week but hopefully it helps open opportunities for him. I wouldn't mind having him cast a DH in Korean - it'd probably get a lot of views even from those of us who don't speak the language just for the shouting.

MC commentary has been fun, the few times he's shown up to do the English Streams at tournaments.

His hair looks very professional, wolf would approve.

Do you really believe that? MC wouldn't be well off for the rest of his life if he retired right now.

I really don't like the hair style -_-

Haha I definitely thought Kim Jung Un as well.

Funniest casting I've witnessed SC2 over 3 years = MC+Dragon casting @ HomeStoryCup. Then there's Incontrol, Nightend, and Qxc.
SC2 needs more of this than super serious casting!

According to aligulac MC made just under $500k in prize money in his career. Probably a good percentage of that disappeared into the taxman's pockets. That's enough to set yourself up with a cozy little home (I think, I don't know the housing prizes in Korea), but it's hardly enough to set yourself up for the rest of your life.

I am curious as to why that is a rule. I don't doubt there is a good reason; I am just curious. Best I can imagine is that it doesn't add anything new or that it makes things neater and easier to read?
Thank you for responding to the question regarding why he was warned.

In my opinion unjust and part of some draconian rule set enforced blindly sometimes. It was related to the topic, funny and honestly i didn't even know it was a meme (but im not down with the kids so...)
On topic, OP says its temp, but this makes sense from both party's sides. MC isnt stealing foreigner tournament money any more, but plays the game to a very high level and has an entertaining personality, 2 facets to great casting. Temp try outs in code A and if it goes well who knows?
