Threw this together because I'm so excited for proleague, who do you think will make the cut?

For those who aren't familiar, the team in the vertical column is the left side of the scoreline, while the team in the horizontal row is right side of the scoreline.

Fun, but I think you forgot to take into account tie breakers. If 4 teams end up at 4-3, the map difference will decide who goes through. And the map penalties will have some influence too :-)

I *believe* I did account map score and penalties. if anyone can show me where the calculations are wrong I'd be interested to see!

I'd maybe add a field for map penalties separate from maps lost. Like that I can predict that Prime will lose their next matches 0-3 and receive two more maps penalties.

just curious, are there any specific situations you're looking at where a map penalty would swing the result? They're pretty uncommon, especially from old-school kespa teams that know the rules. I hope that CJ make it!

Nicely done!

I think map penalty is not needed as its very rare.
But it would be nice if you could add the map difference ( as in 15-12 -> +3 etc)

matchups are posted on liquipedia now! I think CJ, Jinair and sbenu will win this week (and skt of course). This is going to be an insane two week in proleague! I don't think galaxy has a chance considering the calibre of their opponents. One interesting dynamic is that the SKT-SBENU match, which won't matter to SKT (if they beat prime lol) could very possibly determine another team's fate!

Wow, cool! I’ve tried some possibilities, looks like the results of Sbenu-Samsung in W6 and MVP-KT in W7 are critical.

Btw, it's sooo cute, haha → "some resources borrowed with love from liquipedia ❤"

OK, sorry, I might have misscalculated the other day, map difference is taken into account.

But here is a situation where MVP might be eliminated only because of their repeated warnings map penalty (which is not taken into account here), because they would be tied with SBENU.

I know that it is not clearly shown, but I did factor in prime and mvp's penalties as maps lost. for instance, in your screen shot, prime has only lost 21 maps, but has 23 maps lost shown. I appreciate the close eye though! +/- 1 map will probably decide this round! and then SKT will win playoffs no matter what

re: mooncifer thanks I'm glad you like it!
should be good games tonight, I don't think galaxy can win though

And again you're right, I did not realize you took penalties into account, that's great!

I wish penalties would come into play for playoff qualification this season (I like MVP team a lot but if there are rules, they need to have some influence somewhere right?), but after today's matches, I think the map difference is already too bad for MVP to have any influence.

And Jin Air will reach and lose finals as usual :-)

What a round everybody! updated for week 7 (including MVP's new map penalty ). Contrary to liquipedia and according to my calculations, CJ still has a decent chance of qualifying if they 3-0 Prime (likely), MVP loses to KT (likely) and SBENU gets 3-0'd (very possible). This is going to be a nail biter!

CJ theoretically still have a chance. But SKT probably field their b teamers(at least some) against sbenu since they are already guaranteed first place. In which case the chance of sbenu being 3-0'd goes down by alot considering they will probably be playing one of their strongest lineups with playoffs on the line.

So, it's as good as given that cj is out.

I'm not so sure yrt, skt has good B teamers XD, and old-school kespa teams probably don't like to let dishwasher teams take their spots. CJ could also qualify through tie breakers even if sbenu takes 1 game off SKT. What are the rules for tiebreakers if their map score is tied? tie breaker matches right? it's looking very likely to me.

Hey APPSCI, can you update your simulator for round 4?
And can you add round 4 playoffs and general rankings for the final playoffs maybe? I don't think there is much much suspens on the top 4 teams, but maybe it will get a lot more tense by the end of this round
