Brazzers can't sponsor a WCS tournament because of a rule in the handbook.

Are we sure that HSC is a WCS event? That would be quite a bad call in my opinion (being able to buy a spot in a tournament should disqualify it from being WCS).

Why is it sad? Crowdfunding brought insane amounts of prize money to Dota 2 which in turn got everyone and their mother to try to organize a popular tournament. The real question is "does Blizzard want to help crowdfunding".

The International was crowdfunded (to an extent but still), the Chinese iLeague is entirely crowdfunded. It happened to other esports before why it can't happen to Starcraft?
