EDIT: We are pretty sure that MVP was the best right? I don't see any other clear choice, but I haven't really watched the scene in about a year.

Both are good but herO only has a few IEM championships under his belt, and PartinG isn't at the level of the rest. This is insane. At a minimum, PartinG should easily be above Rain. Even with regards to where people tend to praise Rain (consistency) PartinG blows him out of the water. PartinG not only has a NesTea award (few people have managed this), but he's on the verge of creating his own award. PartinG has been ro16+ in code S for 8 seasons in a row now and is aiming for a potential 9th this season. That's unheard of. He also has the longest code S streak in general now that DRG has fallen. Not only that, PartinG has pretty much been just outside of or in the top 5 Protoss player ranks since he rose in early 2012. Again, that's astounding given the instability typically seen from Protoss players. What about tournament wins? Rain's only advantage is winning a tier-1 Korean league (2012 OSL). That's it. Even in pure peak performance, I'd argue PartinG looks scarier right now than Rain ever did. He's got like the scariest PvT win rate I've ever seen.

He's been consistently one of the best players. And the only one to win 3 IEMs herO's been 'consistently one of the best' for one year. Rain's been 'consistently one of the best' for about two and a half. Not to mention herO hasn't won a tier 1 event aside from maybe San Jose. I agree. I wouldn't rank herO or even Parting above Rain. However, I'd rank parting over leenock. It depends on how much you value longevity. I don't think PartinG can touch Leenock's peak, personally. Leenock 2011 : GSL November (2nd), MLG Providence (1st) - both tier S. Leenock 2012 : 2 GSL Top 8s, MLG Summer Championship (1st), MLG Fall Championship (2nd), IPL5 (1st), Blizzard Cup (top 4) PartinG 2012 : 1 GSL Top 4, 3 GSL/OSL Top 8s, WCS Korea (3rd), WCS Asia (2nd), WCS Finals (1st), Blizzard Cup (2nd) Leenock 2013 : 3 GSL Top 32, 1 DH championship. PartinG 2013 : 2 GSL Top 8s, 1 GSL Top 16, Red Bull championship. Leenock 2014/2015 : 2 GSL Top 32, minor foreign tournament success, SSL top 8 PartinG 2014/2015 : 1 GSL Top 8, 2 GSL Top 16s, 1 GSL 2nd, high success in fairly minor foreign tournaments. Note that I'm not sure if the list even counts PartinG's recent GSL final, considering it was written fairly early into 2015. Maybe PartinG and Maru would both rise if you considered those results, I'm not sure. how people rate a tournament which place in one weekend on the same level as a gsl still baffles me also parting WCG, HSC and 2nd GSL global tournament All pretty much irrelevant. I guess GSL Global Tournament is kinda relevant, but even then not by much. i would say a bit more relevant than gsl top 32

Have you seen the korean qualifiers for those things? Stacked to the top. It's not easy foreigner money. Rains hotsix cup is worth less imo. Then it's 1 OSL vs 3 IEMs.

Parting has been one of the most innovative Protosses of all time, literally redefined the PVT meta in late 2011 and PVZ in 2012. Here we are in 2015 and he still looks like a wizard the way he plays PVT. He does the same builds better than other Protoss players or adds his own flair to their build making it his own. MC may have won the most money and more tournaments, but when it comes to actual talent and level of play Parting has been the best Protoss of all time in the history of SC2.
