Making 4 GSL finals in a row is an amazing thing but he's not shown the consistency to be one of the top 15 of all time. His reign as one of the top Zerg players only lasted for a year (late 2013 to the late 2014) and he hasn't done much aside from being solid in Proleague since then. And the fact remains that he has NEVER won ANY tournament.
I don't even think soO is in the top 20 of all time. That's longer than Nestea was the best zerg in the world . Back in those days there was a GSL every month. Making the finals 4 times in a row over the course of an entire year with multiple metas cannot be understated

DRG at #14....WHAAAAT?!
Not only that, but I think this is wrong:
Achievements: Tier 1: Blizzard Cup 2011 - 2nd GSL 2012 Season 1 - 1st OSL 2012 - 2nd
Tier 2: MLG Winter Arena - 2nd MLG Winter Championship - 2nd MLG Spring Championship - 2nd Iron Squid 2 - 2nd
Tier 3: IEM NY - 1st MLG Raleigh - 3rd IEM Singapore 2013 - Top 4
DRG won both the MLG Sping Arena and the Championship. Also, being a Nestea award recipient and having iirc a 13x code S streak makes him one of the most consistent players we've ever had. Let this sink in, DRG was in code S back when the group stages were still bo1 and his last code S was in s3 2014...where he would eventually be the last eSF player remaining going all the way to the ro8 without a team.
That easily puts him in the top 10 and imo I'd rank him somewhere around #4-6. That is a more impressive brand of consistency to me than soO's 4x GSL final streak. Consider all those who've risen and fallen over the years in spectacular fashion and now consider DRG's staying power. Even just at the turn of this year, people were already beginning to doubt Zest (the best player of 2014) since he's been showing such a poor performance in Korea.
This is some bull Stuchiu

I think these guys will definitely be somewhere in the top 10: 1. Mvp. 2. Life. 3. TaeJa. 4. Polt. 5. MMA. 6. MC. 7. NesTea.
Filling out the top 10 could be: 8. Zest. 9. INnoVation. 10. PartinG.
However, there are players who are just outside top 10/top 15: Soulkey. Rain. HuK, IdrA, NaNiwa, Stephano. Bomber. sOs. herO. LiquidHerO, HyuN. Maru. Dear. soO.

I'll buy you 3 months of TL+ if you guess right, 6 if you get the order right
TaeJa, MMA, NesTea, Stephano, Zest. in that order
edit: fuckit, I'm gonna go ahead and give my top 5.
InNoVation, PartinG, MC, Life, Mvp

Well regardless I appreciate the effort and the shitstorm this is sure to bring (like power ranks on steroids) :p.
I imagine poor Nestea is going to be way lower than people expect.
Yeah he was very consistent in Korea, yeah in terms of innovation he's one of the most influential players of this game, yeah he's a 3x champ in a period where Zerg was getting stomped and yeah he did all this while being an older player.
However, he just never could win a foreign event, hasn't even looked Korean-level since early 2013, and has also played several of the worst games of all-time.
I'd guess he'll fall around #11-#9. ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)

Surely you could easily guess at least 5 of them? ¨ If it should be "of all times", it needs to be people who have made a footprint that lasted for years and that really meant something and (and that will probably be where the actual authors will be at disagreement) it was in Korea, not just beating foreginers/other export Koreans. That would mainly mean to me winning multiple GSL or Starleague titles over several years. Everything other than that needs to be considered on a case by case basis. The players I have zero doubt that belong to this category are Mvp and Life as proven by their actual results. Then it's getting a little bit tricky. - MC? Great start, fell off, kept himself relevant through beating foreigners - MMA? the same - Polt? the same - Taeja? never has even reach a final in Korea, somewhat consistent in GSL, fame aquired by beating foreigners - Parting? slightly more accomplished version of Taeja - Innovation, Zest, Nestea, sOs, Soulkey, soO? strong period quite short, not really "all time" players - MKP? what the fuck I don't even - are there any players that are too underated? maybe, but are they top 10 of all times? probably not. Symbol, Losira, Bomber? probably not. Compared to those, Maru was there from the very beginning. surely, his first great win is as late of 2013, but he has 2 actual starleague titles and he was very impressive outside of these two wins the whole time inbetween. It's quite a difficult task to rank these other players. Using different kinds of metric, almost any order is possible. However, I don't really feel like saying that Maru is the 3rd greatest player of all times - if you think about it in the right way, you can find similar counterarguments to place him that high as well (relatively irrelevant for a couple of years, occassional inconstistence). Because I can't really decide an a good measure, I just went by feeling. Some of this will be against my own arguments presented above. It's just people I feel are really great in some sense. 1. Mvp 2. Life 3. Innovation 4. Rain 5. Parting 6. Maru and then I don't really know at all
Your reasoning doesn't make sense. You seem to discard all results before the Kespa influx. And since you place Korean leagues so highly , let's compare how MMA and MC did since the WCS changes. MMA got to round of 4 last season, running into PvT god Parting. He's still is able to compete with the best in Korea. MC? Got stuck in Group of 16 Death. Rain? Same. Couldn't get past 16. And what about Zest? who one can argue has better accomplishments than Rain Innovation #3? One can argue he only dominated due to the hellbat period. How did he do when he was on Acer and competed in all the foreign tournaments along with Taeja? Couldn't even touch Taeja in 2013 and 2014 foreign accomplishments. What about 2014 global finals. Oh yea...

Yes, but unfortunately stuchiu made the ranking you see part of before you.

10 Bomber 9 Zest 8 Nestea 7 MMA 6 Parting 5 MC 4 Polt 3 Taeja 2 Mvp 1 Life
Even though Mvp's achievements are incredible. I just think Life's consistency over the years now has triumphed. Think he surpassed him with the recent GSL win.
