Funny, but it seems that they both have people vouching for their legitimacy and they are both sending players... i don't really see the problem... Maybe you have more info to share with us?

Just support by watching them and leave all this sketch talk out. Seriously half of you are saying it just to fit in now. It's hard to take a team seriously when they haven't proven stability or legitimacy, let alone operate a website with professional and at least grammar-edited articles surrounding their team.

Their sponsor is selling alcohol, in France it is against the law to advertise for alcohol and that's why they are not advertising themselves. And I don't think the alcohol market will collapse anytime soon or would benefit for a sub 50 000 viewers broadcasting activity. I would be more confident in their ability to sustain and pay for a team in the long term than teamliquid. Sponsor needs visibility. If a company can't have visibility 'cause is forbidden, there's no reason to be a sponsor. Am I crazy?

I'm not complaining about the forbidden, I'm saying that this company seems a bit stupid to sponsor someone that can't show them lol

There might be no business reasons but there might be other reasons we don't know that pushed them to support this team. And i wonder how they managed to send 3 players to the IEM if they had no support? because sending 3 people from Korea... it is very expensive...

Their logo got distingished from the car 2008, the "marlboro barcode" 2010. Their expended the contract till 2015 while they gain no visibality at all since 2011. 2011 ferrari rebranded their team from "scuderia ferrari marlboro" to "scuderia ferrari". They pay ALOT for no visability at all. Many people do that. Some just are rich fans who pay for something they like, some companys hope for contacts and contracts due to the sport and other just do it for whatever reason.

You can very well circumvent French law by having logos which are very close to the original without being the original. Tobacco/alcohol brands do that very often in car racing. edit : additionally I'm pretty sure French law only applies in France, meaning that they could feature the sponsor on their players' shirts/hoodies/jackets when playing in other countries
