Maybe. What they're doing makes perfect sense to me too.

DAMMIT RAIN, I JUST LB'ED YOU AND YOU QUIT ? I guess it's my own fault, I never should have trusted a protoss... :D

Shame the wildcard tourney won't be streamed, but if it makes for more great games in the hot6Cup itself, then it's all good ! Also, CJ herO can't be too happy about that news. Another tourney where he might get proxy gated in finals... ^_^

Rain wanted to have more interaction with foreign scene/audience. Welp this confirm that it is his priority now. GL Rain!

This is unfair for MKP. He won't know who his opponent will be until far later than anyone else in the bracket, reducing his time to prepare. Why in the world are players allowed to make these decisions with no penalties?

So it begins...

MKP has no recent games for his opponents to study, except a very reactive 4-0 in TvP that I don't know what PartinG could take away from. You might be right in principle, but in practice I don't think MKP will have any unfair disadvantage.
And what penalty could you give Rain? He's already out of the tournament.

All in all I would say MarineKing can above all be "sad" because Rain was the best opponent for him among those 4 players (Rain, TY, Flash, PartinG). I don't think having 7 days instead of 11 to prepare is a massive penalty.
|
Well, this is a bit strange and unexpected. I guess I will be cheering for Flash or TY again, even if they don't really deserve it.
|
Out of fear of MarineKing, most likely.
|
Hm, a shame, really. But luckily I like the players that have a chance on proceeding at least as much as I like Rain! Good luck on IEM to Rain, it would be really weird if he does bad over there. But after all, he left SKT to go to foreign tournaments more often, so I kind of understand his decision.
|
Dang, he was serious about the foreign tournament thing. Sucks for him, he could have definitely kicked marinekings butt and gotten a lot more money guaranteed

No, because that would be the same as if one group only had three players; it massively advantages players in that group. This way, everyone's had to overcome the same number of players to get through and ends with roughly the same match score.
|
Thoughts. Flash wins wildcard, beats MKP... disapointed fans everywhere. . I love Flash and he certainly may not advance through the wildcard but I am rooting for MKP this tournament! (zest too obv)
|
Wooooo!!!! Back to cheering for Flash.
He's like the ultralisk in the campaign that spawns again after it dies.
|
Huh, i really want TY to make it, but on the other hand Parting would probably be better for Zest :/

I am in Seoul this week, and to my great disappointment, it seemed as if there would be no live games at all this week. This wild card thingy seems like something worth watching.
I can't however find any info anywhere whether these games will be played online only or if I can go and see them in a stadium or something?
|
Couldn't they just give MVPMK a free pass to the semi finals? .-.
