ESPN3 is usually found in "extended" cable packages through your cable TV provider. Basically it's a premium TV channel. It also streams directly online I believe...

are they just broadcasting the stream?

Well the good news is WoW isn't particularly exciting to watch for most people and the ones who do watch it will have already played it, so mission been accomplished. Hearthstone has as much curb appeal to a casual audience as your neighborhood crackhouse does, because who the fuck wants to watch cards fight each other? You have to keep in mind, people like to watch stupid things.
When WoW had even more players, they would get maybe 30k viewers(except for blizzcon maybe), when it was an established eSport.
Now the playerbase is reduced and eSport in WoW is waaay less consistent(it's only really a tournament at blizzcon, that is it). It has never been exciting as an eSport, and never will be

Is there any way to watch ESPN internationally? (Belgium)

It's a streaming service that requires you to have an ESPN subscription through a cable/satellite provider to access. Which pretty much defeats the entire purpose of being a streaming service.

I played WoW for almost 8 years and never cared for it as a spectator sport. It sucks as a spectator sport.

well this is really good.
but WoW is gonna kill this. No newbies is gonna understand what's happening.

Yeah WoW is horrible for a mainstream viewer experience. I played WoW and arena before, but I didn't understand 50% of what was going on when I watched an arena match at IEM. It's really freaking complicated. Starcraft 2 is really simple in comparison and a way better spectator experience. The concept of gathering resources, building 2 armies and trying to defeat the enemy is simple enough (also most people played C&C or AoE at some point), but WoW arena is just crazy.

Suppose that's cool, while I don't think we'll convert anyone over long term at least we're raising awareness.

Sounds cheaper than the 40 bucks virtual ticket thing

Wait is it running concurrently with the football above it on the schedule, or is it Blizzcon first and then football games second?
