I expect all the quarterfinals to be very close and I don't think any outcome would be an upset.
My prediction

Taeja 3-1 Innovation

Taeja 3-1 Life
herO 4-2 Taeja
Bomber-MMA
- Should be a really close match b/w two of sc2's greatest veterans of tvt
herO-Classic
- Classic getting through would be the biggest quarterfinal surprise but not out of the question by any means. Both players are masters of pvp but herO is that little bit better I think. Pvp is no longer a coinflip.
Life-San
- I had no idea of San's dominant record over Life but most of those matches were insignificant and long ago and importantly Life won the last series. Both players are masters of the matchup but with the form Life just showed to upset Zest he has to be the slight favourite.
Taeja-Innovation
- Outside of the hellbat era, tvt has always been Innovation's weakest matchup. It is the matchup where macro and mechanics matter least, and decisionmaking and on-the-fly improvisation matter most, which is why I expect Taeja to extend his winning record over Inno.

suggestion: fade out the cards (or do something) for the players that are eliminated. It'll give better contrast with the skull and bones image imo

I had the skeleton of the preview sitting for a time when they'd ultimately face off in one big tournament or other. It has been pointed out a bunch of times though, but since they've competed in different regions it hasnt been relevant for a while.
