Q. How do you feel about advancing first in the group?
It's been so long since I've had a winners interview that i'm shaking. I'm really happy. Lately the atmosphere so it's good that I advanced.
Q. It's been a while since you've appeared on a broadcast, were you nervous at all?
I wasn't even a little nervous. From when I first debuted I've never been nervous during broadcasted games.
Q. After you debuted you fell into a slump. What do you think is the reason?
It was hard to react to the balance path and since proleague is only bo1 there's a lot of pressure. There were a lot of times where I had bad build orders. It seems like I have to try and play without pressure.
Q. How would you rate your performance today?
My prepared builds seemed to work out well. From the first match I blocked Cure's medivac harass easily. And I thought nothing's gone bad yet. I expected Stats to advance first but even though Yonghwa advanced I was able to see the games and scout out his playstyle.
Q. You have a strong reputation in these national qualifier tournaments. Are you confident for this tournament?
I'm confident. I'm even confident that I can win the whole thing. I'll try my best to be selected to represent Korea.
Q. Any last words?
Thanks to our coach who always helps during practice. I hope a lot of people cheer for me going forward

Q. How do you feel about advancing second?
I thought I was going to advance easily (laughs). I was confident. Either way I advanced so I'm really glad.
Q. Is there a reason why you're confident.
If I practice then I'm confident, so I expected to advance first. But my mental took a hit after losing to YongHwa. After the first game I saw that Zest sent me a message to cheer me on. The end result was that I advanced 2nd so I'm really happy.
Q.What were you feeling when you got eliminated from the quarterfinals of GSL?
Honestly I didn't think it would hurt. But I felt pity and like I was weak. But because of that it feels like I'm able to fully concentrate on practicing and it seems like the driving motivation.
Q. The times that you can play well or not seems really inconsistent. What do you think of that?
I think it's only like that in a double elimination format. For advancing the first match is very important, so I practiced for it. Even today I lost the first match (laughs).
Q. It seemed like you were expecting to meet cure in the winners match.
That's right. I didn't even imagine that we'd meet in the losers match. SO I was expecting it to be very difficult, what's even worse is that I lost the first match and was in an emergency. Afterwards I managed to win through the things I prepared.
Q. Recently you've been slowly getting more exposure in the individual leagues.
Even up until the proleague championship I felt like my understanding of the game was falling. But after that I developed a self confidence and in practice it feels like my play is sorted out.
Q. And you'll end up facing the winner of Group C.
Group C has Zest so if I go back to the lodging I want to say to Zest that he should try and advance second (laughs). He's a PvP machine. If I meet him it will be scary.
Q. Do you have a goal for this tournament?
Naturally I want to get top 3 to represent Korea. It's been a while since I played in an overseas tourney so I want to get that seed.
Q. Any last words?
I want to say thanks to Zest, Flash and Samsung Dear for helping me with practice. Thanks to the coach and manager for coming with me to today's matches and thanks to all the fans that came to cheer for me.

Q. How do you feel about advancing first?
I don't remember ever advancing first in individual leagues. For the last 2 weeks I've refrained from going out and been completely absorbed in practice. It seems to have payed off so I'm really glad.
Q. Your first opponent was Parting. Were you confident?
We know each others style's very well. If I could just win against Parting I was confident I could advance first.
Q. How did you prepare for today's matches?
I prepared an unusal system of using Corruptors against Terran. In the first game against Bbyong I had an advantage but I was careless so I lost. Against protoss I prepared for aggressive macro play.
Q.You made an impression with Corruptor, Ling, baneling style. Is it possible for this to become a standard strategy?
It's definitely a strategy you can use continuously. It's good against terrans that go hellbat/thor. It's good at absorbing thor shots and its easy to catch medivacs.
Q. You'll verse the 2nd place of Group D. Is there anyone you want to meet?
I just hope its not Soulkey. As long as its not zerg I'm confident I can win against who-ever advances.
Q. The GSL finals are between two of your teammates. Who do you wish to win?
SoO has advanced to 4 finals and recently got 2nd place at Dreamhack. This time I'm definitely wishing for him to win.
Q. Any last words?
I've been frequently blocked from advancing into overseas tournaments. So I've increased my practice time as if I were a trainee. I hope people look out for me in the future.
Bbyong Interview

Q.How do you feel about advancing 2nd?
I had to advance first so it's a bit of a shame but I'm feeling good.
Q.What do you think of Dark's corruptor play in the winners match?
In the first set I was able to make a comeback. I saw him go for a similar build in the second set So i thought i could win but it wasn't the case. I lost so I have nothing immediately to say.
Q.In the first set of the Final match you went for a brilliant hidden expansion.
The moment I saw the oracle I thought I had lost. So I attempted to take a secret expand knowing that if it gets scouted it's over. It worked out well and I scouted the early templar tech and was able to win with defensive bunkers.
Q.Originally you mostly used a cheese style but this time your harassment style really stands out.
I prepared a cheese. I saw the losers match and thought that it would get easily held so I abandoned that strategy and went for macro play.
Q. Do you have any goals for the rest of the tourney?
I've broken out of the tiring round of 16 jinx so I'm really glad. My goal is to get top 3.
Q. You'll be matched against the first place of Group D. You might meet your teammate herO.
I really dont like versing herO. We've met so many times in tournaments, this time I don't want to meet (laughs).
Q. Any last words?
My condition today was really not good, I want to thank the manager for taking care of me. And I hope that in the future that more tournaments will be opened.

Q.You advanced to the ro8 out of an all protoss group.
Honestly I wanted to avoid a mirror match. I entered into an all protoss group so I was feeling frustrated. I was worrying about practice and my preparations were difficult. But still I won so I'm feeling good.
Q. You were placed in a group with three champions and very strong opponents.
Most of the players were good against protoss so I was worried but if I survived this group I'd be able to feel good with my PvP. I intended to use strategies and builds that would go into late game macro play. I had a lot of time to practice so I had time to prepare for each strategy equally.
Q. You really had a lot of builds.
In the past I had a reputation for using the same builds all the time. But I saw that the best players use a variety of strategies and have drawn out strategies so I worked hard in preparation to emulate that.
Q. It seems like there weren't many people expecting you to advance first.
They'll probably think its an accident (laughs). But because of that I've been bearing some malice. In the future I want to show a strong image.
Q. In the round of 8 your next opponent is Stats.
If only it wasn't a protoss I would be confident. Because I had prepared a lot for today's games I'll be able to show an even better image against Stats.
Q. Do you have any expectations going into this tournament?
I have to try and get the seed to China at all costs. I want to get an individual title quickly. I think I've gone soft so I want to get that competitive spirit back again.
Q. Any last words?
It seem's like i'm able to produce good results thanks to my parents that cheer for me. Along with my friends, and my fans I was able to show good results so I'm very thankful. My old MVP teammates came to the studio to cheer me on so I felt strengthened.

Q. How do you feel about advancing to the ro8?
Before I arrived at the studio I wanted to advance second. But I didn't purposely lose the first match it just happened this way.
Q. You were matched up against the former champion Classic in the losers match, were you feeling any pressure?
There was no immediate pressure. Someone had to lose so I rather tried to stop being nervous.
Q. Whenever you're trapped in a corner you have a reputation for playing your best.
When I'm cornered it seems my concentration gets better. I'm experienced at finding winning strategies in tough situations.
Q. In the first game in the final set you were in a tough situation and forced a comeback?
I've played a lot of games against that opponent, because I'm experienced against that opponent I was able to focus just on the match without any pressure and so I received good results.
Q. Was it a ceremony when you started making a Mothership in your opponents natural?
I want to apologize to my opponent but after destroying my opponents MSC it was a necessary ceremony. Because of that my opponent would of felt shaken.
Q. Because you're so good at PvP people have called you a 'PvP machine', what do you think about this nickname?
Even in practice I always show a strong image against Protoss. But more than a 'PvP machine' I want to be known as a 'SC2 machine.' I especially want to show a stronger image against Terran.
Q. There's a high chance you'll be matched up with Innovation in the global final. Will you feel any pressure in that matchup.
Because I've won many times against Innovation It won't be especially burdensome.
Q. You'll meet CJ Sora in the ro8. It seems like you're favoured but your opponent is a silver medalist. Can you evaluate your opponent?
Because its another PvP I don't have any particular emotions. Rather I've played many PvP's so it might be boring (laughs). However I'm facing Sora so it should be a difficult match. I saw that he plays really well. I'll prepare diligently to win.
Q. Any last words?
I want to apologize again for the ceremony. And also I managed to not get matched up against Stats. The matchup should be good and we won't have a teamkill until at least round of 4. I hope that 3 KT players can get first, second and third place.

Q. How do you feel about advancing to the round of 8?
Soulkey and TY are my friends so I feel a bit caught by the situation when I won over them. I don't know who will make it out of the final match but I hope its one of them.
Q.You said that you're usually weak against zergs. How were you feeling when you lost to soul key in the first set?
Before I came to the studio my vZ wasnt fully refined in practice so I wasn't confident. As soon as I lost the first game I half gave up. Either way I won and a terran advanced to the winners match so I could come out first in the group.
Q.In the winners match did you realize that TY had taken a hidden expansion?
I knew it. That's why I chose to go for a stalker colossi all-in.
Q. You'll end up facing Bbyong in the Round of 8.
It seems like we have a deep connection. If I was a god I would have intentionally advanced 2nd (laughs). It can't be helped, it's destiny and i'll have to take it as best I can.
Q.You reached 4th in Dreamhack stockholm does that mean you've qualified for the Global Finals?
Even while I was participating in dreamhack I was really worried about falling out early. Rather I wasn't able to win the whole thing but I confirmed my spot in the global finals I was able to achieve my goal so I'm not displeased at all (laughs).
Q.Any last words?
I want to say thanks to Byul who helped me practice. I want to say thanks to the manager for giving me permission to skip the team in house ranking exercise and to my fans who came to cheer for me.

Q. How do you feel about advancing to the round of 8?
Lately Flash, Stats and other team members have been doing well so it seems like only I'm lagging behind so there was a lot of stress.I advanced to the ro8 so I'm really happy. I want to produce good results so it doesn't feel like I'm letting the team down
Q. Did you have a specific method for preparing against your old team-mate.
Myungisk and I know each others styles well so playing against each other is tiring.Fortunately he played in the range I expected him to so I could win.
Q. It looked like you were in a tough spot in the final game of the final set.
I constructed 3 bunkers so I felt at ease but Immortals are much, much stronger than I thought. I didn't get a good position for my siege tank so I was really in a dangerous position. I thought if I could just hold the DT drop I would win.
Q. How'd you know about the DT's?
He made three forward pylon's around his proxy robo so I thought it was impossible for him to go into a macro game. I compared all of the possible situations and thought DT's would come out.
Q. In the ro8 your opponent will be Dark, are you confident against Zerg?
I'm confident in my TvT so I wanted to verse Bbyong. Honestly I don't mind as long as I don't have to meet a protoss.
