Edit: Also did Maru decline to play or is he somehow not top1 Proleague player? He is but apparently they used whoever was top2 in proleague at the end of the 4th stage or whatever it is its called for proleague

Maru only had the most if you counted play-offs. It makes sense to ignore play-offs because all-kill format makes things not very fair, as well as not all teams even being able to play in the play-offs.

Yeah, Kespa uses only regular season without playoffs (round playoffs or the finals, doesnt matter) so it is fair to everyone. Same is being used for things like season MVP etc. Also, predictions: Game 1 : Game 2 : Game 3 : Game 4 : Game 5 : Game 6 : Game 7 : Game 8 :

With the exception of Rain (and he's just 1 good performance away from qualifying) and maybe Flash I really don't see that many players here who are better players for Blizzcon than Life, Taeja, Polt, Hyun, hell, even Snute has proven that he can go toe to toe with players of code S caliber on a good day ...

Finally somebody says it. Is this lineup better than the top 16 for Blizzcon? Yes, but not by much at all. I mean, I'm pretty sure Super has his moments but he's not that amazing. Reality is doing well lately but I'm still not totally sold on him. Taeja and Polt are definitely better. Rogue/ByuL have great potential but currently I'd say they're at best equal to Life and not significantly better than Jaedong nor Hyun (both of which can play at an incredibly high level when they're in the zone).

The Taiwan Open had a lot of ZvZ matches, and despite people saying "So many Zs", I thought it was an excellent tournament. Not hating on PvP. I'd just prefer more even distribution of race in the later stages of the tournament. You're right, though. Good chance of T's and Z's moving on.

Yes, but not by much at all. eh, when I look at the WCS standings and see 7 players that are barely even in the top 50 worldwide, there's a problem. Just my opinion, of course.

I'd rather watch PvP. and who's fault is if T has to pull SCV or it's impossible to win after the 15 min mark vs P ? T players ? TvP is a joke unfortunately but I'd still watch it over 50 PvPs

TvP is a joke unfortunately but I'd still watch it over 50 PvPs Terran do not scv pull because it's the only way to win the game, they scv pull because it's a super effective way to win the game. Late game terran army is good if your control is good

If you really think that Snute is as good as Sorry, then I am afraid you are delusional. Also Polt is not better then Reality I don't think (blah blah blah, results in foreign tournaments, blah blah blah - spare me pls). EDIT: Or you just didn't see Sorry play in the RedBull qualifiers, that's totally understandable then - but you'll be in for a surprise.

This seasons GSL Ro16 is as close as it gets, minus couple of players.

Polt is definitely better than Reality (and many other terrans) when the metagame/balance doesn't favor the race. But now that terrans are doing well, whoever is more mechanical is probably better overall.

Like I said I wasn't sure if Sorry even played any broadcasted matches. I'm assuming you mean the IEM qualifiers, as I don't see anything about Red bull on his aligulac page (less you've confused him with Journey who's very similar). Still, I'd give the foreign tournament performances of Snute more weight than a few good online qualifier showings.
