At the time DRG was winning Code S Maru had just requalified for Code A after a long absence. By the way, If you want to see how Maru looked in 2010 you can see him in this VOD after the game (at about 19:32). The game is against Cella (the former Slayers coach)! Maru looks about 10 years old. The real OGs of SC2 (who were in Open Season 1 and have been more or less consistently relevant since then) are MC and Polt. NesTea is still around but hasn't been really "relevant" in two years and San is a great player now but he was basically absent from the individual scene from mid-2011 until HotS.

A tradition in Korean SC2 where players sit down together and have a ceremony where they choose the players in their groups. The top ranked players choose a player first, then the player they chose chooses one, etc. It's basically an excuse for banter and trashtalk (though this being Korea there is not much of the latter) and sometimes you see fun exchanges like players making deals with each other. For example in this case, Maru said he didn't want to play Flash, so in order to get picked by Maru PartinG promised not to pick Flash if Maru chooses him. And it worked.

1. Zest 2. Cure 3. Maru but of course, every interview would deserve a translation for us mere mortals who don't know the language of Gods...
