We have released most of our roster, due to our main sponsor vanishing. @Sc2Arthur and @jyp1013 are now looking for a team. They're great!
I tried to get in touch with them but no response , the main reason is still the rusian sponsor.
Its sad to see as a romanian a team going down , but unlike NewRoSoft , they didnt had a solid sponsor
I think the team will now remain only amateur but still its sad to see another PRO team go down (
Good luck JYP and Arthur maybe he will not retire

That sucks for Spectre and everyone involved, especially JYP. Hope they all find new teams quickly!

Just noticed that Arthur is about to participate in a tournament, maybe we won't retire after all.
|
How long did it last? 2-3 months?
gl to Arthur and JYP!
|
gl to arthur an JYP, such bad luck ;(
|
Why are we still surprised by this stuff?
|
|
I didn't see this coming...

How many main sponsors have "vanished" up to this point?

Well that was quicker than expected. At least they didn't try to pretend and end up making everything worse.
|
Hopefully JYP and Arthur will find their way.
|
Why the misleading topic? They are not disbanding, they have released some players who received salary.

The transparency is probably why nobody is reacting badly to this, was never a good business model relying upon one person for funding. Good luck to the released players!

Sad to see this happen to JYP and Arthur. Just some bad luck. Hopefully they find something soon.

Poor JYP . Glad they were at least honest and didn't try and pretend and really screw people over.

Man, Arthur keeps getting the short end of things...
Hang in there Arthur! (Less worried about JYP, he could always fall back on singing the ladies out of their moneys.)

You haven't, and that's an important thing. But you're like an exception to the rule - the individual big sponsor seems like a recipe for disaster, and you've even avoided it by making sure to line up solid additional sponsors for Axiom.
Ever time I hear about a team that is primarily being backed by one or two people, I'm pretty sure it will not last too long.

i never tought of this team as romanian, not one bit, 0 presence in the romanian scene, 0 participation in the comunity, nothing at all, and all the romanians think the same

So... no, they had romanian players who would not get payed, also the fact that most of the romanian players that got into the team faded into obscurity ..

and here we thought team spectre would actually have a spotlight for the veterans of the up-and-coming era in their career...

Damn.... Ancestor and Hyper can't seem to get any breaks :/

Time for Team_Shady to step up...

Please dont make a team if you dont know anything about it, like having just one mysterious sponsor guy from Russia keeping you going (lmao).
It breaks my heart to see these poor korean progamers dreaming of a foreign team and then joining these unstable teams, which are doomed to go down.
Its like anyone can make a team, but I dont understand why the progamers are joining teams like this. Lack of experience and knowledge of these things I guess. Own desperate attempts without managers?

JYP seems to pick all the wrong teams. Poor guy.

I don't know, he had quite a good run with EG, if you ask me. Let's just hope that his next team will be better (though that shouldn't be hard to achieve).

Actually Daze, the most prominent Romanian members of Spectre are Xsnac, Ancestor and SpiriT. Spirit joined DH Bucharest earlier this year, dropping out in groupstage #2 with a 1-2 mapscore (3rd place). Ancestor joined DH Bucharest in 2012 and they have another guy, Xsnac, who attended in DH 2013.
And if you want to discuss Romanian community activity, i dont know if the team existed at the time, according to Liquidpedia yes, but i have seen their names pop up in some old tourneys hosted by scii.ro, an important Romanian community website at one point....for example :
Garage Starcraft II Competition 2 - Hardcore League http://www.starcraftii.ro/tournaments.php?do=view&id=17
Xsnac played the final against DeathAngel
Garage Starcraft II Competition 3 - Hardcore http://www.starcraftii.ro/tournaments.php?do=view&id=18
You played one semifinal against Xsnac, Spirit played the other semifinal against DeathAngel
I can go back even more, found 4 more tournaments of this site through 2013, Xsnac and SpiriT attended, and in most of them you played against these guys in finals/semifinals. Hard to classify that as 0 presence/activity.
On the other side, they didn't advertise the individual players' Romanian tournament results at all on their team's twitter. Only news about clanwars in 2013....but apparently Romanian players - SpiriT, adelin, Nevermore were pretty important in some of those clanwars at least, according to the tweets.
Bottom line - Team Spectre wasn't invisible, if you knew where to look, and it wasn't hard to look. They were active in clanleagues, that's a fact. But they didn't have the necessarry resources or magnitude to sign and keep pro players, it's a pity, but not the end of the world, those players can find new homes...... Anyway i wish them good luck in their future endeavors, clanwars and such. There is life also as a semi-pro team, and i will be following their results in clanwars, hoping that they field as many Romanian players as possible. This scene is still alive (barely) and it can grow....if we keep following it.
