Oh, I didn't follow BW.
I didn't want to critique the article, I legitimately didn't know.

Oh come on, classic's face is the last bastion of the once proud Chin line (kal, stats, um others I forgot) If he wins this GSL, they will go extinct. T_T

Also, if Maru wins even a game with mech against Classic he will have unlocked mega baller status. :p And it will just be hilarious if he can defeat Classic in a similar style to how he defeated Innovation back in OSL. :D

gogogo Maru!!!
Hope he does not even try to play mech... its just bad :D

If you do not follow Proleague, Classic is a new face that you would be wise to remember. Haha, dude's been playing in Proleague since eSTRO existed.
Edit: And his winrate after his first 15 or 20 games was like 80%. Good times.

Does that change anything?

Maru is going to race-switch to Protoss during the match and beat Classic in PvP. Everyone will cry.
Calling it first!

I suppose if English was not your first language it might be reasonable to assume that you would glean something like "Classic will be a new face to those who do not watch Proleague" though.

It changes the point that Classic is a new face.

Wow that is some impressively high stats coming out of Classic, did not know Ailgulac put him so high above Maru...

Yeah, I guess the sentence is poorly worded; I can see where you're coming from, but I certainly don't think all English native speakers would read that sentence the way you do, if not merely because everybody knows Classic already lol.
In any case let's hope the meteoric rise of the Chintoss claims another unsuspecting victim.

If the "is" was changed to "will be" it would be less ambiguous I think. I made that change without thinking about it when I rephrased the sentence.
But yeah, I've been following him since back in those days and it's cool to see him come this far.

"Back in February, they squared off in the Ro32 of Code S where Classic promptly advanced in first place in lieu of Maru, defeating him 2-0 in the winner's match."
This is wrong, the winner's match of Group F was Classic vs Hydra.

That seems like a double standard to me. All of SC2's Terran champions were crowned during the 2011 era, when Terran was undoubtedly favored in both non-mirror matchups, and yet they are adored. Now, Terran isn't so strong, but we seem to not give the winners from the other races the same respect. Things like this in articles disappoint me:
But what this really shows is that having a Terran player in the finals of a GSL once again would not only be refreshing, but also perhaps something the Korean scene needs.
Is there actually some reason for this? Last I heard viewership of SC2 in Korea was going up.

Gogo, Classic! If anything so I can enjoy the tears and drama of Maru losing. GO CLASSIC!
|
I'd love to have Maru win just because KT failed to bring in another gold for their shelf, and SKT MUST NOT WIN
|
Classic too solid. Maru's cheese won't get him out of this one. SKT T1 finals incoming.
|
To hell with protoss. GOGO Maru!
|
Although I like Classic a lot as a player, I have to cheer for the only Terran hope this time.
