If this is an SKT vs SKT finals then oov coaches sOo and Doctor K for Classic?

Exactly. Maru's Terran is something special! He always brings something interesting to the table.

He's like an integration and culmination of all terrans before him. The micro of MKP, the strategising and balls of Mvp and the multitasking of MMA. Its almost like he's the Cell of SC2.

but hes not as solid as Taeja

I like Taeja.... Im not sure if he would have the success he's had if he was playing in SPL or GSL... just my opinion.

The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

Taeja plays in a much easier region and environment. Teaja does not hit players like Zest, or any of the top SKT1 protosses.

I have hard time believing Teaja would even make it past round of 32 in code S if he returned to Korea region.

Really annoying saying " look at Teaja and polt terrans doing good" Can't compare them, they are owning lesser Koreans outside of Korea and NA/EU players in their WCS groups.

Maru is prob the most solid overall Terran in the world......

While all you say is true, that doesn't explain a perfect run in a Major Tournament like Dreamhack, where he had a 17-0 Mapscore.
Even the best player should lose 1 or 2 maps to cheese or misread or whatever.

Taeja was playing against inferior competition, what is so hard to understand.

The average tournament viewer doesn't like looking at the rosters of tournaments such as Dreamhack and being told that level of play there is basically equivalent to Code A (and not Code S), even if it's accurate, and that one of their favorite players (if not favorite, considering these forums) would not look nearly as "dominating" in a different region, even if it's accurate.

Which means he should consider giving GSL another try, don't you think? Because this dreamhack had something very close to the best players competing outside Korea
In my opinion he should be facing players like soO, Soulkey, Maru, Zest or herO, not foreigners or exiled Koreans.

And it would be great to see more than one Terran in the Ro8 =)

if u are winning so much in foreign events why go back to korea? GSL is too volatile, u fuck up one match in Code A and u will receive no attention for 3 months until the next season.

I think its better to have more competitions than just having GSL over and over again.
Remember at the peak of BW there were OSL, MSL and GomTV invitationals/showmatches? That would help players staying in Korea much more. Recent Shoutcraft Invitational was really good, helped top tier Korean players show off their skills, and such.
Another thing that can help korean scene would be to have foreign tournaments have fully paid/sponsored trips for the players (hint hint HSC), but then this would be kinda too expensive and even when its implemented it would only be for top 1/2 players of the qualifier, so it will still be hard for newer players to get exposure.

Or maybe even having SCII scene in China grow, and have some chinese tournaments might help Korean scene more too. Its much cheaper to travel to china for tournaments than to go all the way to NA or europe, and probably will allow more Korean players to go overseas for competitions.

I totally agree, more tournaments in Korea would be better than monthly GSL. If TB manages to make Shoutcraft KR a regular thing, it's a good start and maybe it encourages other organizations to host their own tourneys too.

I don't think that having the trip to western tournaments fully paid would help that much, because I think the main reason for the players not attending is PL, at least for the key players (which are the ones we want to see). For example, Roro and TY went to DH due to the top ranked players not accepting the offer. But you are right about the scene growing in China would help too. Again, TB showed us in the Shoutcraft post mortem than, as a tournament organizer, you HAVE to include China.

So... time to learn Chinese I guess?
