A month's suspension seems appropriate This does a lot more for their own PR tbh. "We made the guy who made fun of someone with a serious disease sit out for a few weeks" doesn't sound as strong as, "We cut that guy who made fun of someone with a serious disease" On that last point by the way, personally I don't think I would even post this online for everyone to see, as I'd assume he'd be released from his team. Here I'd be thinking "Is what he said bad enough so that I'd want him to be kicked from his team?" Probably not. Something like saying in a calm tone that "hey, that's pretty uncalled for. It's just a game, all right? You don't really mean that, do you?" And give him a chance to apologize for it and that's that. In fact, I probably would just ignore it altogether as it's really not a big deal. Hence I'm not really into tweeting about it in the first place This is also a reason why I'm not into these huge witch hunt stuffs. One person's always painted the bad guy, the retaliation must be swift and powerful and whatnot, when in the first place it's really not even a big deal and they could make up and have no hard feelings privately with no issues. It reminds me of that Idra situation, which I completely disagreed with as well. Finally about that thing about me saving my family member, perhaps but I have no idea what that has to do with this. If you think this is an isolated incident then you don't know Ruff. This has been going on for years. If Sheth came back and said something like this on ladder, people would be a lot more willing to attribute it to extenuating circumstances in his life, but with a repeat offender over the course of several years he's not gonna get much slack

But seriously, USA get a free healthcare system. I mean seriously what the fuck...
On the other hand, why did Minigun post that on his twitter... Meh, I give up. He posted it because it wasn't the first time Ruff said that, he was tired of it

A month's suspension seems appropriate If a player on my team ever said something like that he'd be out on the street in a heartbeat. All these ideas of made-up punishments are irrelevant. It seems appropriate? Based on what, your expert knowledge of running Starcraft 2 teams? That's as arbitrary as anything else. Hey here's an idea, ya got a cancer in your team, cut it out and move on before it kills you. I'm not wasting my time on someone who refuses to consider other peoples opinions or points.
You don't have any opinions or points, you just made up a random number and thought that was a valuable post in some way. Why not 3 weeks suspension? Why not 5? Why not 2 months? Tell me, which is most appropriate?
Reality check: Opinions are totally worthless unless you have something to back them up with, whether it be reputation, experience or preferably, some actual reasoning or evidence to support your argument. Oh you have an opinion? How very not special, every has opinions. Other things everyone has, the ability to breath. Do you want me to applaud you for breathing? HEY CONGRATULATIONS, YOU DID THIS THING EVERYONE ELSE CAN DO! WHOOOOOOO!!!
Earn your respect by posting something interesting. Opinions are the most common thing in the world and appropriately also the least valuable. Distinguish yours from others by making it interesting and arguing your point, instead of throwing your toys out of the pram and stamping your feed when somebody calls you out on your vapid point.

But, If your gonna be a superstar like Ruff, you gotta act like it Yes, better to die slowly and painfully right? Thank god very stupid people like you don't know they are stupid else you'd be begging for money. I have a Job, I dont need to beg for money XD ah, then I suppose the best thing to do is waiting for a cure for stupidity so you can pay for it with the money from your job. IKR, Cut minigun a break. He's a college student, and the amount he owes the hospital is the same amount of money a wal-mart employee makes working full time for one year, assuming they don't spend any of the money they make. While everyone's free to spend their money how they wish, talking in this tone is in my opinion uncalled for. I personally feel like people should take care of their own problems. I'm sure there's numerous people in a similiar situation who don't get the help. In addition, there's numerous better charity targets in developing countries where a similiar amount of money could save hundreds or thousands of people instead of one By the way, I still think that Ruff's comment wasn't an appropriate one but I believe that if this was the only offense, it would be an overreaction. . I don't think you understand the gravity of Minigun's situation. In America, when you have to spend a lot of time in the hospital all at once, you can come out of it with an obscenely high bill. Think about it, you just got pasta terrible situation, you are still enduring the condition, and now you are swimming in medical bills and you are unable to participate in the activity that is your main/only source of income. That puts a tremendous psychological/physical burden to endure. I don't blame him for a second for thinking, "maybe I can ask for help." He just asked, to see if there was anyone out there who would pitch in something small to get him back on his feet. I understand the "do it yourself" mentality, but in this case I can't begrudge him that in the slightest. This of course is very likely, in Finland I don't think that would get me into very big money trouble. I'm partially playing the devil's advocate, anyway. I like thinking about things from the unexpected angles. A stern talking to is a punishment for a child, not a 28 year old man trying to make a career being a professional gamer.

Well, I had to take my Dad to the emergency room a few months back and we were there for around 2.5 hours and the bill was nearly $600. If you have to stay for an extended period of time in the hospital and have surgery the medical bills are easily going to be 10s of thousands of dollars. If you don't have medical insurance it literally puts most people into financial ruin.

Maturity level is low because we're trying to get rid of someone who shit on a seriously sick person? Maybe we're trying to increase the average maturity level here. what do you mean by that? he's already been kicked out of his team. What else do you want Apologies. He was saying it's embarrassing to be a part of this community that does this to players. I was just saying that what happened to Ruff is justified (him being kicked)
