Still ultimately what I said was inexcusable and I hope that he gets better from his illness. I should treat people like I would in person as if there was not a computer screen in front of me.
I hope that the community sees this as an appropriate action even though I am saddened by the decision. Best wishes to everyone and I hope this does not effect the community in a negative aspect.
This is the apology of a sociopath. You shift blame onto the person you're apologizing to (I lashed out in rage because of the comment Minigun said and also because someone said he was in my stream chat). You appeal for sympathy for yourself (When I was told that I was removed from IVD Gaming I literally cried). You try to smooth relations with people who have more power than you ( they only want to strive to ensure that e-sports becomes a popular thing). As soon as possible, you try to segue into a story in which you are the hero.
People see through you. Get help.

While everyone's free to spend their money how they wish, talking in this tone is in my opinion uncalled for. I personally feel like people should take care of their own problems. I'm sure there's numerous people in a similiar situation who don't get the help. In addition, there's numerous better charity targets in developing countries where a similiar amount of money could save hundreds or thousands of people instead of one
By the way, I still think that Ruff's comment wasn't an appropriate one but I believe that if this was the only offense, it would be an overreaction. .

Personally I feel like blacklisting is rather extreme. You don't make light of a person's health issues and I'm glad IVD handed out punishment accordingly, but I feel like if he's sincere enough, starting from the "bottom" again would go a long way in rehabilitating one's image. Everyone says things they come to regret in hindsight.

This is admirable that you think people should take care of their own problems, but Minigun pursues a not so lucrative career in pro-gaming, so it's not unreasonable to ask for help when facing a serious disease.

It's hard to say as I haven't ever had that much money, but that comparison is on a significantly different scale on both fronts(how close I am to the person and how serious the situation is).

Not all d-bag-ness is created equal. If Ruff had said, "You suck Protoss imba" or w/e this wouldn't be a problem. Making fun of a disease is a problem because it is insensitive and shows a complete lack of personal empathy for someone struggling financially and physically. There is a difference.
