He bailed on clan war numerous times, refused to participate in qualifiers without reasons. It started very early after arriving, and it kept on. It's a bit overblown by Mun_Su perhaps but Millenium fans are getting desperate and he did nothing to make us change our minds.

I never understood why the millenium's fans (brats) didn't like him but whatever.. Good luck in the future.

Too bad. BabyKnight was one of the few foreigners left who could reliably take a map or two in Ro32 groups every once in a while.
|
Babyknight was one of my favorite players, I used to scope out the groups and make sure I was up when BBK was playing, even without making it to Finals he was still entertaining to watch. Best of luck to you BBK in all your future endeavors.

u always was kinda bad to me im not sad right now

so..another "Pro" is leaving sc2. Good luck! Maybe we will meet again if the prize pools and the audience is bigger. ;-) LOL

Title of this thread is kinda bad. Should be "BabyKnight returns to Dota".
|
Maybe with this decision he's losing as many fans as he's gaining in the DotA scene. So maybe he's breaking even but playing a game he enjoys more?

well... babyknight himself made a thread about himself retire in sc2 ^^ so i think he can call the thread as he like xD
also its not rly a RETURN if he goes dota2 because he comes from dota right ?
|
Shit, I voted for him hin on Liquibit I hope they remove the vote, kinda unfair with this thread now. I don't think he will win his matches with no passion behind. Kinda dissappointing, but I wish him good luck in Dota 2, but I don't think he has any chance with this many Dota 2 teams and high competition.
|
best of luck! but you dont need luck, just a bit of practise to become one of the best in dota (again).
im pretty sure you will come back to sc2 sooner or later though, dont force things, do what you have most fun with at the time - you will be good at it no matter what ![](/mirror/smilies/wink.gif)
I can tell cuz i played both, starcraft and dota with / against you. i consider myself quite talented for games - you are on a completly different level, a diamond! <3

Well, as a BK fan in SC2 and DOTA watcher as well, I am both sad and a little eager to see him back in DOTA.
I only hope, BabyKnight, that you decide to go out in a BANG and kick some ass in this WCS.

BabyKnight's original title was "A tough decision.", the rest was added later (by an admin?).

Wait with his logic then when (and if) he hits top level DotA competition, wouldn't the same thing happen?
I wish he would have been honest and just came out with the hard truth that SC2 isn't fun when you always strive to "play" to a level above you.
Which is why you see so many people rank down 10-20 games after a win streak to play below their MMR, and also why you see so many diamonds/masters in Obs games or custom games that just LOVE to play vs. unranked or silvers. This is just the same shit on a higher level.
|
AS sad as I am to see BabyKnight out of starcraft. I AM MORE EXCITED TO SEE THE RETURN OF BK TO DOTA. Best of luck man!

Good luck. Enjoyable games, but I don't think you were ever going to catch up mechanically to top level players (Koreans). I don't have any knowledge of original dota professional days so I will just leave it at hope you know what you are doing.
As much as I find mobas despicable and product of unmotivated stoners, I just can't play sc2 without my wrists as they once were or hold a controller. I have a choice to play either dota 2 or forza... The skill it takes to play dota shocks me everyday. The learning curve on the different heroes and items are literally the only difficult part of the game. Positioning is slightly more advanced than siege tank wars and Micro is a joke while controlling 1 hero and a couple other units. Getting good to great with mechanics should be easily done by 99% of master players, but are you willing to spend the time to learn close to 120 heroes? And calculate/understand a huge item/recipe pool? While dealing with literally retards for teammates while laddering and/or deal with 4 other personalities on a team? And on top of that catch up to the competent players with 4+ experience on you? Time for me to start hitting the greens with the other geriatric fucks. Fore!

Yeah, I also agree the title is misleading.
I hope to see you play in Dota 2, best of luck! Better to do it sooner than later if you are losing interest in the game, glad you still have the competitive spirit though. You've brought many good games, and you've made many fans. Even though you didn't win any huge tournaments, I think you have a lot to be proud of, you've been one of the best, if not best Denmark SC2 players of all time!

I don't think for Dota you need to grind games as much to be competitive. A large portion of it is not really mechanics, but rather intuition and problem solving, as well as communication, while SC2 puts more emphasis on muscle memory. They both have their required skills, and I wouldn't say one is harder than the other, but from what I see, the best Dota 2 players don't play nearly as much as the best SC2 players.
