Maybe I'm being insensitive or it's a culture difference, and I understand the celebrations things, but why can't you high five a teammate for playing well in a match? I don't see the correlation. It's like if I got an A on my test during 9/11, my friend can't say good job to me.

condolences to the families of the tragic accident...

the captain must commit seppuku
the vice principal did it days ago...
he has no right to live after the ruckus he made
lots of nasty news/rumors from him and his despicable crews
'one of the first to jumper over... ' depriving survivors of abandoning ship...'

kids died helping others to survive
lots of heroism talks...

the captain should always be the last to leave

This. Captain needs to commit seppuku right now. Die with what little honour he has left.

Really sad what happened with the ferry. It's sad to think about how many kids there are and how many families lost a child at something that seemed so safe. My condolences to all the families that lost someone.

First of all, Koreans don't commit seppuku. Seppuku is what Japanese samurai did, and you commit seppuku with a specific sword. Second of all, committing suicide because of a tragic accident that you had no control over doesn't solve anything. Creating more tragedy to avenge tragedy does nothing.

The ferry accident is a tragedy, and much respect to Proleague for doing this.

im well aware of the term seppuku... so lets use the word suicide then
he should do it not because of the accident but the actions he did that lead to many casualties
a captain is the commander of the ship, a father to the passenger and crews...
i wouldn't have insisted on this samurai thing if not for those nasty decisions he made and his crew

In Korea, because of how small of a nation it is, this event has had an enormous effect on the people. So many people lost their lives during the event and there is a pretty solemn mood right now here. Unlike during the Boston Bombing, which was an act of terror, there is no outside force trying to scare the people. There is no need for the people to stand strong and show the terrorist that they cannot push us down and teams like the Boston Red Socks helped lead that charge. But this was a terrible accident and there is no need to have a strong show of strength in the face of an attacker. All the players and teams do not want to have a celebration because this week there is nothing to celebrate. There was a huge loss of life and sometimes e-Sports and Proleague wins take a back seat to such tragic events.

This was a really good explanation, thanks.
It's a good idea considering this.

Thats pretty dumb asking someone to commit suicide because of an apparent miscalculation. The captain stated why he waited so long before ordering the evacuation. You should read the transcript and wait until the trial before making such judgements.

Edit: props to proleague

I think having none of those celebrations, interviews etc... was the right call. Sad story especially considering their age Best of luck to the families!
