I know it's not a big deal, but I really loved the Gom streaming. Twitch is usually eh and sometimes terrible, GOM interface is way better and I like it being on its own specific site. Strangely enough it kind of added to the experience...

i'm going to miss watching the stream on gomtv; the free HQ they provided had better color depth quality than the twitch feed too.

So the stream and vods are moved to a platform that is known to have massive lag issues at least in EU, the free stream quality is dropped compared to last year and VODS are still behind a pay wall. A significant step backwards isn't it?

Not a good thing imo. So many TL members from EU have complained about Twitch lagging that I can see this being problematic. Having said that, it's not at peak hours so it may be ok. Best to wait and see

I can see how a Twitch monopoly might raise problem in the future but I'm a Twitch fan so I'm okay with this switch. Happy with it actually.

On a side note, what was the name of that other popular streaming organization that got screwed by not paying players a while back? I forget... :|

Twitch is terrible for me here is Eastern Europe, so this is a terrible decision for me, I also hate the Twitch quality, their "medium" quality is only 360p, their "high" quality is 480p and only the "source" quality is 720p. They don't even have 1080p anymore.

I also hate the new limits that you must be subscriber to watch "high" which is only 480p, I mean we are 2014 in a month, watching 360p isn't cutting it anymore, unless I can watch 720p for free and have paid 1080p or higher I don't consider that to be a service, I consider it a ripoff.

Like I haven't watched anything at 360p for over 5/6 years, its ridiculous for me to be watching 360p and being forced to pay to watch 480p on high, as I can't watch "Source" on Twitch because it ALWAYS lags massively for me, its completely unwatchable and I'm stuck at "high" quality which is only 480p.

Yes I can sub and pay but the video player never loads for me after they ditch gomplayer, I tested with several VPNs including JP, US and EU IPs, looks like they lock Chinese IP out, the stream is fine tho, just vods.
