Honestly the only one i can see being a competition for twitch is if youtube starts pushing its streaming majorly and even then it will take some time.

I remember uStream being used frequently early on in SC2's lifetime, and it was used again later for a KT vs SKT pre-Proleague SC2 showmatch. There must be issues with it if it isn't being used more.

ForGG uses Dailymotion I believe.
ForGG is on Millenium. Millenium is a French team. Daily Motion is the most popular service in France iirc.
There probably isn't much incentive to use Daily Motion if you aren't associated with an area where it's popular, like France.
I just wanted to start catching up on the VODs from the HotSix Cup, and Twitch won't even let me navigate toward GOM's channel without hiccups, it's that laggy. Now I got to the VOD and it takes ages to preload. Screw twitch - the monopoly they have is hurting game broadcasting. That both PS4 and Xbox One have a twitch integration from the get go certainly doesn't help

that's what i was afraid of. after the whole "horror" debacle, my faith in twitch is dwindling. (they handled horror somewhat after the fact, but that was still a fairly big clusterfuck).

I go to the "more videos' page from Gomexp. I see carefully cut vods titled set1,set2,set3. Given that it's a bo5 format, and the first game was like decided after 5ish game minutes I was able to enjoy a tense 4 minutes before I knew who won the bo5.
The spoiler-filled VOD section is obviously terrible and this will completely fail if they don't fix it. I e-mailed gom support asking them to do so, I encourage all of you to do the same.
How cool is Twitch about refunds if they don't get their shit together? There's no way I'm going to suffer through an entire year of watching 1-2 games before automatically knowing who wins a series.
Ah that's a plan actually, I do like GOM and their customer service is usually good, but fucking hell Twitches VoD system is terrible. That and the lag...

Well played Gom, well played..
Seriously this type of thing bothers me so much with Vods. Even with the time seek bar, like I'm watching a TvZ for 3 minutes and it's already half over, guess I know the Terran's all in worked. I really wish they would just cut vods to be like an hour long always and not split things up into multiple videos or end the vod right when the last game is over. Or even better, just have an option to hide the seek bar.

I couldn't agree more. A sad day for me.
edit: I mailed a sad email to their customer support. Hopefully they read it and know they're about to lose a customer.
So it looks like I don't have a choice but to try to view 480p VODs that take ages to load, and are spoilered. Okay, fine, I'll do it since I want access to the content. But I can't even buy this ticket I'm not excited about, since apparently "Something isn't working properly" for Twitch. Anyone else having this problem?
