Summer is not yet over it seems. Powered by a dominating performance from TaeJa, Team Liquid took a decisive 4 - 1 victory over Team Acer in the finals of the SC2L hosted at DreamHack Bucharest. Deployed twice in the line-up, TaeJa was able to defeat Acer's two strongest players in MMA and INnoVation, contributing greatly to his team's victory.

Team Acer
While Acer was able to get off to a strong start as INnoVation mangled Snute with his famous marine-medivac-mine waves, that was the last time anything went right for Acer. HerO tied up the score by easily taking out Nerchio with laser toss, with even Nerchio himself dismissing his chances at winning prior to the match.
After HerO tied things up, TaeJa landed a crucial two-hit combo by taking out both INnoVation and MMA. Both games were decided in the early game, as TaeJa took massive leads after defending against his opponent's aggressive plays. TaeJa made no mistakes, and safely snowballed his advantages into two wins.
Scarlett may have made the difference had she been present, but with their star Zerg on leave, Acer had to rely on Bly and ParanOid to get back into the series. Unfortunately for the team in green, TLO was able to close the series out in the fifth set. After holding off Bly's early baneling attacks, TLO used his faster mutalisks to tear through Bly's poorly positioned overlords, and soon after take the game.
With a 4 - 1 victory, Liquid won the first place prize of $5,000, and the title of SC2L Season One champions.
I think TaeJa is the most consistent and reliable player in the world throughout a 1 year period. He can't win every tournament but damn, he's so solid with nearly no slumps.
Awesome games! I like TLO's ZvZ alot! Taeja showed immaculate defense vs aggressive openings while holding his early expansion. Definitely must watch games for any terran player. well played liquid!
