Hopefully with KeSPA pressure, LG will properly compensate IM... or even better, renew their sponsorship for real.

Seriously, at this moment in time, can you think of any other team in the world that deserves this sponsorship more than IM? Guys, do you remember how LG started supporting IM back in February of 2012? Then immediately afterwards, Mvp won GSL? Then straight after that, Seed won GSL? Then IM won IPL TAC 3? First took second at MLG Summer. YongHwa took second at HSC, then won WCG KR. IM placed second in IPTL... twice. First won IEM, then Mvp won IEM. Mvp placed second in GSL... making it his 6th finals! IM won the preliminary GSTL. HotS came out and IM took 1st-4th at IEM (YoDa, First, YongHwa, Mvp). Mvp won WCS EU. IM just won GSTL again!

How can you argue with results like those?

People weren't exactly praising KeSPA back in BW either, though, and I seem to recall reading that the Korean netizens aren't huge fans of the organisation either. Of course they're doing (and have been for a while) the scene a lot of good, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to call them out when they do stupid shit like they often do.

It's a security deposit, to make sure teams don't drop mid season. It's possible that Kespa can change the rules if they really want more teams in PL.

not to belittle IM, which is a great team, but the results werent sufficient for LG's purposes. no one else's opinion really matters.

I think Kespa definitely has the power to make them pay damages, continuing sponsorship afterwards is an entirely different thing, I want to be positive but I doubt they will renew the sponsorship.
